    I haven't played with my copy of Crystal in ages. Might try it sometime, but it's kinda in a box at my parent's house somewhere. :/

    Old topic is old I know, but HOW?!

    I've just been there and had no trouble smashing him with a lv19 Pidgeotto
    Well, helps that his Scyther got devoured by Croconaw with Ice fang, but still...

    His Scyther was faster and could 1 shot my pidgeotto with U-turn. I started with Chikorita, so my starter couldn't help me at all against Bugsy.

    Usually in any Pokemon game (I've only played up to Emerald :( ) if I choose the Grass starter, I would get a flying-type Pokemon asap, it makes it tons easier.
