Halo 3

Why do you consider Halo overrated? Are you just following a little trend set by a few people? Or is it because it has such a large fan base? This thread is not about pissing and groaning about how Halo was "hyped." If anything, Halo is the one of the defining games of this generation and with such huge statistics to support it.

To be honest, I never really followed with the game when it was released, I played as someone who never read anything about it, never followed the hype on the internet. I played it because of word of mouth and I am sure you would have done the same for another game.

Also, I believe the honor of overrated should go to most PC FPS games. But everyone is entitled to opinions, so we shall leave it at that.

Midnight is tonight... Woo hoo! But I won't be getting my Halo 3 until later...

 

argh. homecoming is weekend so i wont get a chance to pick up my copy till sunday... i hate school.

 

If only i had a 360... or any other console for that matter....

At least i can observe the launch from my house......

 

sunday is gonna be great, me and my friends are all goin over to my one friends house with our 360s and gonna do a system link.

i cant wait for 4 player co op!

I can't stop watching halo 3 vids! Its driving me insane......
Mainly cuz i won't even have a 1% chance of getting any console untill sometime next year.....

 

haha. did you see the video about the brute? it has one part with untextured models showing random animations, like a brute rips the arms off a marine, or a brute crushing a marine with a hammer. its pretty sweet.

 

There's a video on youtube with the ending cinematic of Halo 3 on it. Search Halo 3 ending and you'll see. Looks like Master Chief dies. How sad.

 

Apparently he doesn't i've read some of the comments on the spoiler videos saying there is some form of an after credits cinematic, i have no idea what is in it and i don't want to know. When i get halo 3 (in about 1 year or so) i will know......

 

ive found that video, but i refuse to watch it. im gonna see what happens in the campaign on my own.

i played the game and beat it, i will not tell the story line tho.
but the weapons are good, yes you can hold only one needler but the aiming has been improved
the brute shot grenades fires like a bullet.
the plasma pistol has been change so that it consently drains its own power when charge.
the flamethrower from halo 1 pc is in the game.
the fuel rod cannon is in mutiplayer.
there is two new grenades the spiker and the flame grenade ( dont know if flame is the correct name)
the spiker can stick like the plasma one and also on the walls too, the flame one produse a pool of fire but if thrown at a person and hits that person will burn to death(hehe).

wait, why am i putting all this here when you can look it up yourself?, i guess im doing this for the lazy people. there is more but right now im pondering about my own question. for those who have the game, have fun playing it.

 

I never understood why Halo was so big. It was just too.. happy. Like Doom 3 could never beat Halo 2 in the sales productivity, you know why? Me neither.

Nevertheless, I'm going to get it because I'm tired of getting game invites for Halo 3 every five seconds.

I purchased Halo 3 because I wanted to finish the storyline rather than the fight... However I believe that Halo 3 fell short on the campaign part. I was disappointed, though I am sure that once I play the multiplayer sessions, I will be happy again.
