Too bad it's not to be seen in SC2. (Most likely to balance the Lockdowning of Motherships and Thors)

No, it's not an Area of Effect attack, it can only hit one biological target at a time.

Well... first I think that you consider that the Ghost as it has developed two has become truely a master of the lower tier field. In that it deals the damage it can to lower tier units. However, if you were to look into later game for the Zerg like it was in SC you realize the ghost was a Specialist. Nuke, Lockdown, and Cloak. It could not effectively survive without abilities in SC2 it is more battle prepared and less specialized.

    In SC the Ghost had
    -Cloak
    -Lockdown
-Nuke (If a Nuke was prepared.)

In SC2 as of this moment the Ghost have
    -Cloak
    -Snipe
-Drop pods( If Drop pods are filled.)
    - Nuke(If a Nuke is prepared.)
    - Added normal attack bonus.

The Ghost is now more akin to a battle commander in that he can call nukes, call dropships and eliminate if neccisary vital targets with stealth if neccisary. The Ghost as it stands will be effective in early game now, but not even close to what it was in end game like before. With little light armor units in the End Game of SC2 as it is and without the ability of Lockdown ghost will become more or less useless as the game advances. Since we have not seen the Zerg we can only assume they are getting units with armor that is considered more than biological/light. I.E. a thicker carapace than the Zerglings. Plus, the Ghost with its new damage boost to light units may be pushing for the Zerg players to not do a traditional Zergling rush, but a mixture of Swarm/Zergling/?Ultralisk? As I think the Ultralisk would not be considered light armor.

So in truth the Ghost is not Imba it is just powerful for its tier.

Well... there's always the potential of Emp then Nuke to wipe out a sizeable protoss base. That seems pretty imba for their tier.

yeah but you can't EMP base defences such as cannons, but that would work for a small force of ground units, if you had enough ghosts with full energy. but even then you have to be careful

Cannons, as in Phase Cannons, have 50% hp and 50% shields, which means that you can EMP them.

It's okay, everyone makes mistakes. And did you mean lock down the cannon?
