Well it would motivate some people to do good in school for their parents to buy it for them, but some gaze out the window, or Own out, thinking about it, losing their concentration.

gawd, if im taking 1 and a half months in making a simple platformer flash game, then i wouldn't be surprised if it will take that long for something so complex

I'm the type that would zone out thinking about what everyone else is doing in the game and building possible strategies to try out once I get the game.

I'm terrible at studying, and new games only make it worse.

I imagine Blizz would release it in early 09', despite their optimism, delays will arise and something will go wrong that will set the date back. Realistically, I'd say a solid year or so. I'd rather wait an extra 3 months for the game to be 10x better then to have it released early and suck.

November 2008 would be great, but for the whole world .
Usually when a good game is coming out in Poland (where I come from) they realise it like 2 months later with ONLY Polish language that sux .
As all here I would like to see the game ASAP but we all remember how it was with Diablo 2, it had over 18 months of delay.

P.S. Sorry for offtopic but what is Black Friday ?

 

I am just gonna say this because it needs to be said. Blizzard looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooves to [censored] they love to give out false information to tease fans and the public into believing something that isn't true. They love to taunt everybody on if one unit is staying or if it is leaving, or if it is in alpha or production stage. They lie their ass off so when people buy the game its better then expected. Personally I love their strategy because it leaves speculation to be made by the fans but seriously. I don't think it will be released in 08 if anything it will be between 09 and 2010. But who knows.. Like I said they may be in beta for all we know and their just bullshiting us with fake units just to get us riled up before it will be released. Maybe it will be released tomarrow but who's to say? We don't know a damn thing and we won't know anything until its released. So stop presuming to act like you know something about where the game is so far and just watch it unfold because really despite what blizzard has given us we are still in the dark and we don't know anything about the game. The units they have shown us may all be made just for publicity and too keep attention on the game. If you want proof of what I am saying think of all the taunting they did before sc2 was announced. Go back and read the statements made by blizzard and then read the actual announcement you will see what I am talking about. Or look into what they did for other games. We don't no we will never know and until sc2 is released people just need to shut up about the speculations because we don't know anything.

It's an article. Relax.

There's no cause or justification for you attacking someone because they've come up with educated conjecture about the release date. If you don't want to hear such opinions, don't read them.

 

I didn't attack anyone and if it was taken that way I am sorry but what I meant was don't bother with these articles. I agree its a good article and gives speculation but I am simply warning readers that the date given is most likely false because none of the information given by blizzard is perminant or any backing. I am simply stating that the whole article could be wrong simply because blizzard likes to taunt people into making their own launch dates and then surprise them by doing so.

 

Of course it's not solid. It's just someone's opinion. But they backed up their opinion with a formulated argument, which doesn't exactly weigh it any greater than anyone else's date, but it does give hope to those hoping for the game.

Your opinion is just as valid, but his is better supported. So what? It's conjecture. That's the point of this anyway.

 

But it leads to false hopes and people getting let down. And some people get so ignorant from it that they blame blizzard when people outside of blizzard are wrong about the release date. I am reminding people not to count on that date so they wont do exactly that.

 

Black Friday is the day after Thanks Giving (which is a thursday), here in the USA. People go crazy shopping deals, in preparation for Christmas. (It's a new name, like 2yrs old, pretty lame if you ask me).

It always sucks getting birthday money, and then the next day, everyone wants to christmas shop. I ended up with turkey and no cake for my birthday 2yrs ago lol

I hope it comes out this year, but I'm skeptical. I have however, bought a new computer, that hopefully will be perfect for SC2.

 

This is not an official announcement, so don't worry about it affecting the guessing competition. But if you want a good shot at winning, I wouldn't pick this date. Everyone is going to.
