FSP Beta Registration

Wow ... A few months ago I would have been ALLLLLL over this but recently I just don't have the interest I used to. Of course, I would still love to be in this beta program but I think there's plenty of people out there that want it more than me right now so I'm going to save the oppertunity for you guys.

I don't know about videos, but if I get a beta key I'd at least keep unit stats and strats up to date for you guys (regarding Terran units anyway ). I would also host a screenie thread where non-beta members can suggest different scenarios for me to take screen shots off.

 

Yeah, and I would like to back that up! If, for example, GMG, me and some other guys from this forum get keys we should really work togehter (play some games togehter too).

 

Show me some massive Zerg pwnage with your Terran I wanna see a lake of Hellion fire rolling over thousands of Zerglings Hopefully, you have the Core i7, GTX 295 that it would probably take to do all of that at max resolution for a screenshot.

I'm pretty sure the gmail account was made for the fansites; not for Blizzard. I think Blizzard just gave them the beta keys and told the fan sites to find whomever they want to give one to.

Sounds good. But, I don't care. I just want to see mass Zerg rapage. I love Zerg but there's nothing better than just watching them all burn

Finally at home. Seeing all the responses, as well as the circumstances like the gmail address I'd also vote for a prank, but what the hell - mice walk into traps, so why can't I?

 

If this did turn out to be a fake or a prank ... Oh dear, God! Think of the devastation to these site's credibility. I'm sure they've checked and rechecked all of this even if they didn't hear this directly from Blizzard.

But, if this was a prank, these webmasters would have to get tons and tons of security in their house (Salaried guardsmen, perhaps?) and invest in a nice sawed-off shotgun for crazy fanboy late night visits

I would love to hear new of how people would send posts of how they're doing and vids too! (since i do'n't have a good PC atm)

I think it's an April Fools joke of one way or the other- but it might not be what you think. This is made to appear extremely obvious as a joke (with the gmail account) but at the same time it makes sense - that's part of the joke. Blizzard would hand out keys to fansites first because that is where the most dedicated followers of the game would be, and the people who would contribute the most. The gmail account is for the fan websites rather than blizzard, because blizzard isn't running this.

Therefore, it's not a risk I'm willing to take- 300 words isn't that bad, and I've got plenty to say; this is our chance to help make SC2 the strategy game of the decade.

Of course, chances are it's all just a big joke to see how far people will take their essays to try to get in.

 

eh i did 250+ words and if its not a joke i hope i get that beta key! if so we will all get a good giggle out of it

 

I wonder if the winners (if there are any) will be announced to the public? I think that that would help them communicate with each other to help test the beta out since I am not sure that everyone uses their forum account name as their battle.net name.
