Fourth Race Theory

Apart from the protoss zerg hybrid, there can also be the protoss terran hybrid or the zerg terrn hybrid races. But i highly doubt they'll be in the game. probably not even in the expansion.
the xel'naga themselves will never be playable i hope.

 

Aren't Infested Terrans a sort of Zerg/Terran hybrid? And I don't see the point in a Protoss/Terran hybrid, except psionic mayhem.

 

Blizzard Has said that there only will be 3 races, however they have hinted that Xel'naga will play a part.

 

The only point of the Hybrid is to make the "perfect race", as in combining both of the Xels creations: Zerg and Protoss. It'd kinda defeat the storyline to make a race based on a Protoss/Terran Hybrid or the likes.

 

i think therewill be a forth race in single player
it might be a sort of hybrid race, part xel,naga part hybrid

like hybrid footsoldiers, and workers, but xel naga leaders and spell casters and vehicals
i dont think the xel'naga would make the same msitake twice, and will keep the hybrids extremely close to them.

 

But we're not sure whether the entire Xel'Naga are in favour of creating this Hybrid, or just a renegade division that's gone all megalomanic on us...

 

i read that the xel'naga were split into two factions, the ones who wanted to do the great expermint, and the onces who didnt.
and one of them locked the other away in stasis.

 

Well see? That could make for a cool story where the good Xel come to try to stop the evil Xel from wiping out all life...

You mean http://starcraft.wikia.com, its nice, but don't forget that its made by outsiders who also (like us) speculate and sometimes say stupid stuff.

But comparing it to other stuff its actually quite nice

yeah, I've read some stuff on the Starcraft Wikia, but most of what I know I got directly from the Wikipedia article on Starcraft. It's not that unreliable, because people could easily spot what's bogus or made up without actually knowing the story perfectly.

 

I don't know why some of you don't want a new race.....I know the ins and outs of the old races, it would be nice to have a new one and i love the feeling of picking a race in a game and not knowing a thing about them and just figuring stuff out, i think its fun.

I think its pretty clear that there will not be a fourth (playable) race. The Xel'naga or hybrids may make an appearance but you won't get to play as them.

 

you all know that we want infested toss because it you be the best race just like the undead is the Warcraft games

 

I'm new here, but they have a Starcraft Wikia? lol there's also a Star Wars Wikia. So many Wikias.

I think this theoy might be true because it may be like Warcraft 3 how the Naga is a campaign race, but not a playable race.

 

This is no fourth race it's allready official? in that interview.
