Forum layout update

I really like the new site layout, like the way it looks is really cool. But i do miss features of the old layout like the arcade and the shop.

 

The shop shouldbe coming back.

 

Same here. The only problem I have right now is with 'New Topics.' It doesn't take threads I already viewed off the list.

 

To get them off try reading the topic first and then viewing the board where it's placed, or just use "mark read" option - less clicking

 

Where's the mark read option?

 

It is under forum tools in each section of the forum.

 

So there's no way to do it thread by thread?

Is there any estimation to when the forum looks/shop/items/minerals will be finalized?

 

i think this is ok and the new one will be ok as long as i dont havev to press o button to quick reply, and just type in the box instead

In the example, he says he won't finish until version VB3.7 is out. I have no idea when this is supposed to come out, does anyone know?

 

It can't be too long. 3.7's in its RC stage, so a few weeks at teh most, hopefully.

 

What will the thread listing look like?

 

This multi-quote button is really neat! read through the thread, click on the little "multi quote" button for each you want to replay to, then click reply and bam! It even remembers if you go across multiple pages of the thread.
So here goes (and I have not had sleep for like 30 hours now, please excuse me if something doesn't make sense)

These will all be coming back (and a better arcade that I think I can assign some arcade mods to so that some of the more dedicated members can upload games themselves. Gotta see what kind of arcades vb has).

Just double click the board icons for a shortcut, or use quick links

Yes, it's in RC2 stage now, next release might be GOLD, if so, then in 1,2 or 3 weeks max I think. 3.7 has template changes in it which will mean everyone will need to re-do their templates when they upgrade. I am saving the bulk of the work until then, so I am not doing things twice... On top of that, it's where all the features lie. There are some really nice ones, and amazing profile pages which I will make sure they look good. (I think it will haev features like this http://www.webhostingtalk.com/memberprofiles ) I think they are on vb 3.7 not sure. Ours will NOT look liek that but have similar features.

Wait until I do it. There's no preview yet.


I will answer questions when I can, it's pretty easy to do in this format.

 

Sweet, that multi-quote is awesome. Obviously I didn't leave it in 'cause it would just take up space, but it suits my posting style greatly!

Will you limit the height of signatures?
Will frames be enlarged and restored or will you limit avatars to 70x70?
