Zealots can project psi-blades from their suits with by focusing their enegy through their suits. Would female protoss use the same weapon or would they use something different?

i think females should be more like casters, like the hts. that'd be interesting.

no I think female protos would be use the same weapons as the men but, we don't see them that often because for the protos rush you need a lot of zealots and who do you think makes the zealots :p. no but seriously protos don't want their entire race decimated on the field of battle, they need guys to reproduce (however they do it, and yes there is a thread on that just do the search if you want to read it).

/\ the protoss may be to the point, however, where it doesn't matter who is fighting (male/female) because either the women will die defending their civilization or they'll get killed while not fighting back. The protoss got decimated during the war on Auir. They really need whatever help they can get.

In many ancient cultures Men hunted and went to war while the women were home makers and administrators. Could be the same with the protoss. Men fight while women pull the strings

Agreed. The protoss bio on the Mothership shows that they're pulling ancient relics out from far away to help in the war (desperation?) The command could very well be a she-protoss

Men fighting is a HUMAN tradition. It was because men are stronger from birth. Protoss are a DIFFERENT race and thus hvae different physiology and traditions so the tradition card doesn't work.

There is strong evidence that their are female Protoss warriors. Let us assume the Spartan ethic, even Women participated in exercises and were expected to defend their property if the need arose. Protoss consider themselves warriors and as such, have adopted a strict and rigid training system (I.E. Zealots trained to focus Psionic energy into an weapon/extension of themselves.)

Also, if you do not believe me about the female Protoss warriors bit, please refer to http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Edullon. If she was capable of killing an archon in close quarters combat, then that must surely mean a lot of something.

Personally I think it's a great idea, like maybe you can choose male or female models before the battle or something, sounds like fun to me ^_^

Little chance with the game almost being finished that they add extra models.

I bet there'll be a Selendis model in there. You could make a custom game; switch and re-size it for a regular zealot.

Assuming that protoss reproduce like humans (terrans) do, their race is pretty outnumbered by the 2 opposing factions so they should value their females, reason why they are kept away from battle. Me thinks the females handle the politics and males serve the military.

Doubt it, as Aiur was starting to get quite overpopulated.

Terran women integrate badly into the military because of the nature of the terran army(imagine handing a male prison colony that hasn't seen a woman for years a woman). Medics have armor, higher rank and sedatives to counter this. valkyrie's are part of the UED fleet, and those were only in the sector for three months tops.

Ghosts however have a fairly equal gender balance, as special ops.

Just because the model is male and white doesn't mean there aren't any other genders or ethnic groups that take the position. Same goes for protoss(very clearly since every different clan should have a slightly different skin color, yet the zealots from those clans only differ in their armor color).

Surely you mean Valkyries when talking about the UED? BT Dubbs (BTW) Banshees are indeed in sc 2 and are female models.
