Zerg vs Zerg: Rush to build Scourge - make a bunch and send em at the enemy overlords - boom!

Zerglings - mass them and drop em near the workers - makes people frantic ;D

Hydralisks - they are just nice - ranged unit perfect for goonbusting ^_^

Zerglings are the best siege units by far.  If you manage to break some hole in your opponent's choke defense, all you need to do is force move(without attacking) your lings in deep and the base will fall apart in most cases.  It's too hard to kill off fast tiny cheap lings running around everywhere while other units are still knocking at the door.

But you should note that sieging a hive with lurks/mutas means that you'll be taking out surrounding workers and damageing buildings nearby, while sieging with guardians is hard to stop in a pinch without proper AA or if your AA is already busy else where.

All in all, Cracklings own, end of story.  Gotta love Zerg.  :good:

EDIT: Testing with equal unit count as opposed to equal food count doesn't give you accurate results to reflect realistic multiplayer play btw. 12 ultras = 24 mutas/lurks/guardians = 48 hydras = 96 lings. Your posted results give the false impression of ultras actually having good damage potential at a quick glance.

    Zergling, Defiler, Lurker.
They are just so useful. Anyone who underestimated plague and dark swarm... shame on you.

Uhhh, I do... Archons and templars ftw? Protoss can eat plague for breakfast and irradiation can eat lurkers for less. =( I'm sad now...

This is favorite zerg units not favorite protoss units. I generally play terran so when I'm against those units, they really fuck with me. Also, I don't like playing as zerg.

Actually, plague is very potent against Toss as they are the only race that cannot recover any of the lost HP from it.

I also like to occasionally spread my attacks and plague Terran buildings when I have the upperhand. But plague against buildings is just nice in general, another added incentive for plague. Too bad filers are Zerg's only caster unit.

No it's not, queen is the 2nd caster and every race has 2 main ones.

Actually, every race has three except Zerg, which only has two. Other races besides Zerg also have combat units that have single special abilities like web and mines, but not Zerg.

But no, queen isn't our second caster, it is a filler unit that's never used. I hope you realize that I was being sarcastic while being completely serious at the same time about filers being our only caster.

yes but the queen is far less useful.
Theres high templar and arbiter (both useful)
Then theres science vessel and um... ghost? (both useful)
Add in medic and dark archon. Medic extremely useful, dark archon not so much.

If you really want to stretch it, you can say the mutalisk has the magically ability to change into one of two things for a small/large fee.

Early game i enjoy Hydras, because they don't cost very much and still kick ass. Late game... well full upgraded Lings just topples about any base as soon defenses go down.

I was a big muta guy. If I wasn't making swarms of them I was making tons of hydras and lings.
