Favourite Terran unit?

mine is so the siege tank it pwns ive won game with nothing but tanks and turrets

 

i'm suprised more people didn't pick science vessel...
irradiate is great
emp is great
defense matix is great
AND on top of that, it's a detector

 

6+ SCVs with 2-3 marines can kill a zerg rush. And if the Protoss is dumb enough to attack with zealots, you can easily kite him around. Terrans can easily counter-rush, they just lose more units doing so.

 

unless the protoss player is actually smart and doesn't follow around your units if you start doing that and goes for the command center.

 

Well, 95% of the time a Protoss (or one that is not dumb) would go straight for Dragoons instead of Zealots when playing vs a Terran. And I doubt a Terran would let Zealots destroy his CC <.<.

 

i don't get dragoons because they are woefully retarded and I'm not dumb.
I get zealots vs terran because the bad players die so quick to them and I don't let people run my zealots around. if my zealots are in their base, they will be damaging something be it their buildings or their units.

 

It is true that dragoons are very big and clumpsy and always have trouble navigating throught tight choke points. I'm glad it is getting replaced in SC2.

What you said is right. If I'm playing Terran and my opponent is Protoss then I'll tech towards firebats and medics like crazy, marines are too powerless against zealots. Actually I think zealots + achons is the way to go in a late game against terran, cos of the ever annoying lockdown against dragoons.

 

i hate terran the most but i prefer firebats with medic.

 

seige tanks + goliath fully equipped with everything is 80% win all the time

seige tanks kills ground units while goliath kills air
ultimate combo

 

If that was actually true then you see everyone only playing as Terran. There are too many factors and variables, it is always different.

So far, it would seem that the Cobra has replaced the beloved Vulture. The Reaper also inherited the mine ability although it appears to work differently, almost more like setting time bombs.

 

i vote goliaths because they are cool and very effective when they are masses of them

 

Personally, i love goliaths for thier looks, since i have always been paticular to walker mechs. The siege tank by itself isnt anything special, but once its in siege mode it takes the badass meter through the roof. Just hearing and seeing it go off sends fear down my side if im facing it. Or sweet joy when i see my enemies wasted by it ^^. And lastly, the marine. How can you not like it? A smart mouth convict who shoots up for better performance, and blowing up in a gory little spectacle is one of the most iconic units from Starcraft. I think more people think of the marine when they think starcraft than any other unit, except for zergling possibly.

 

For megoliats because they can attack air units and ground units and they are so powerfulagainst enemy fliers....

 

vultures cause they are sooo much fun to use

 

Hands down the first good unit in the terrans line up is the marine.

 

--Goliath, +Seige Tank+, Battlecruiser--

Goliath because I really hate micro management and they have auto fire even when moving.
Seige tank because it has the longest range as far as I can tell.
Battlecruisers pwn all, yamato gun decimates buildings and KO's most units.

For runners up: I thought the ghost and medic had a nice allure and mysterious quality. With enough minerals and time I could dominate any landscape by building masses of bunkers and defend with only a few marines. Vulture's spider mines are a great hidden trap. Wraith's confidence and charm combined with its cloaking ability really fills me with respect.

Science vessel let me down because of the slow recharge, but it rocks with cheats. Valkerie is really only nice when fighting against air opponents later in the game, perhaps good when rushing zerg by killing their overlords, however I never got the chance to try it. Firebat is too short range for my liking, I honestly don't feel very safe using them as guards.

 

i like vultures the most... when im getting camped by p i take a few vultures in some dropships put them behind the goons and siege on them they run away and fall right into the mine trap it always works!
