Favorite Rts Of All Time!!

Yea, it is and mine is of course Starcraft, I've always enjoyed it ever since it was released back in 1998 it was awesome and groundbreaking back then but still holds up quite well even 10 years later so that makes it the all time RTS for me.

In third we have a three-way tie with Civilization IV (Civics!), Starcraft (My personal most-played game), and Warcraft 3 (Battle Tanks, Battleships... DotA sucks... )

 

I have to agree with you about Dota but the Command and Conquer series would come a close second to Starcraft and then maybe Supreme Commander.

Oh boy, this is tough. Supreme Commander, Sim City, Starcraft and Warcraft 2 are all ranked SUPER high on my list.....*though I do enjoy watching SC more than the others.....*

Well, I guess I'll look at it in terms of time played. I've played more Starcraft than the others, so I'll just vote that.

 

Dude Age of Empire 2!!!
Starcraft is a CLOSE second.
But god...good times with that game...good times.

 

For me Starcraft wins.
I thought of Sim City as more of a simulation than RTS. But since it's there Sim City 2000 or Sim City 4 are good second for me.

And I have to say I really didn't like most of the rest of the choices there.

No Dawn of War? Dawn of War's by far my favourite. It actually involves strategy, and the Dark Crusade campaigns were awesome.

Well, it's quite obvious that starcraft is my number one choice. However, I have been playing a lot of Homeworld 2 matches over the years. It's an awesome game with an active community, and you don't see that a lot with older games. If you own the game, just install it again and install the complex mod, or the latest version of the fx mod by 9ccn. It's fantastic to see what those guys did with the old engine.

I just love hyperspacing in my massive fleets right above and below some enemy shipyards and crush them. CRUSH THEM! Hehe, I think I'm going to play right now.

I always thought the Civilization games were turn based strategy and not RTS. So they shouldn't be on this poll.

 

Lol @ Dungeon Keeper on this list.. Games soooo OLD i was like... 7 years old when it came out.
