it was YEARS after the original red/blue release, and you could actually tell one pokemon from another, plus every new pokemon game is the same as the previous ones, so why not buy this one if it's still the - same - but - new?

I'd wonder more about all the tons of early FF remakes...

Final Fantasy, they hardly finished making remakes for GBA (after having PSX ones and I think wonderswan) and are already doing the same for PSP

At least pokemon gives you a few years to enjoy it's new graphics and storyline before the next game out dates it. Seems like a new ff game comes out every year.

Point here, but nowadays most gamers just play the games once or twice and move on. Every FF has new story, new characters and somewhat reworked battle system (which comes down to hittick attack later anyway, but still...). I don't see how anyone, save for most hardcore fans, could play new pokemon game every year considering it's so similar.
    It's all about money unfortunately

I like the fact that every new pokemon game has new elements to add to the gameplay examples:

    -night/day
    -double battles
    -berries
    -held items
    -abilities
    -weather effects

and others that I can't think about right now because I'm still tired.

in saphire and ruby, the day/night graphics were also omited, but were brought back in the diamond/pearl series.

Also has anyone else heard that there is a rumor doing around about Nintendo considering remaking the silver/gold series with updated graphics, like they did with the fire red/leaf green?

Those pictures he made are very good. I haven't near the talent with computer graphics to make those.

    Seriously?

About the silver/gold, that's only a rumor so far, but I bet they will do it eventually since it was so popular. I hope it's true but there is no proof from Nintendo if it will be made, however, many believe its a secret like how the fire red/leaf green versions were only spoken of right before release.

Mystery dungeon was good, since you actually got to be a pokemon, I might get the new pokemon dungeon game when it comes out. I just got bored in the original after I got Latios and Latias.
