It may be a double post but my last post here was a day old so...

I just finished another anime called Fate/Stay Night.  Its only 24 ep but it was good.  Not the best, not as good as Last Exile but it was still good.  The main story line was sound and the story progressed well.  The main character was useless and annoying for the first seveal eps but that eventually changed.  The anime features characters who are legendary heroes, by which I mean heroes from real legends, most of them western.  This is very interesting but some of the ways they portrayed the heroes I'm familiar with annoyed me.  I won't discuss the primary example of this as it would give away some story but I will discuss one of the examples, Gilgamesh.  I've read the epic of Gilgamesh and I know how Gigamesh was supposed to act and what his motivations were.  The central theme of the Epic of Gilgamesh was death and Gilgamesh's desire for Immortality to escape death.  The quest for immortality is what drives Gilgamesh, it is his ultimate goal.  This is not so for the portrayal of Gilgamesh in this anime and that annoys me.  Gilgamesh not striving for immortallity is like the legendary Robin Hood not stealing from the rich to give to the poor.  It is like Aeneaus not wanting to found Rome.  The character isn't Gilgamesh unless he has the central theme of Gilgamesh's personallity.

Ack, thank you ursawarrior, how on Earth could I have forgotten Gunslinger Girls. Thats such a good anime! Why did I forget to mention one of the best animes that I've seen. :upset:

I would like other animes, but, well there doesn't seem to be an ending coming in my lifetime, which seperates the good animes from amazing anime.

*Oh, and I mainly read the manga though XD

Samurai Champloo: very funny and entertaining

One Piece: again funny and good storyline

Ghost in the Shell (series): ...I don't understand much i really liked it and it had excellent setting and storyline

Bleach: very good and very entertaining

Naruto: Very good but it has too many flashbacks than Bleach and OP and it had too many filler -_-

Naruto Shippuden: disappointed but it is getting good and the drawings are much much better (back to the old ^_^)

Claymore: good until they started making things up in the last 3 episodes i watched pfft

I liked these however i'm mostly disappointed with Claymore -_-

It’s basically the Japanese version of Romeo and Juliet, with ninja clans instead of houses, and a tournament where the ninja try to kill each other.

lol, I recommend Death Note to anyone who doesn't watch anime. (Only first season thought, second one sucks). It's not about who has flashier skills, but two geniuses trying to outsmart each other.

On second thought, I did watch an actual anime, but it was a movie. I forgot what it was called, but it was about this guy that gets some kind of infection on his arm and some girl raised by wolves. It was a long, long time ago when I watched this but I remember it being really good.

edit: nvm, I found what it was. It was Princess Monoke.
