Artanis being the executor, thought this was common knowledge :p

    However you don't need redemption

I don't even think that is the source quoted on any ''stukov is alive'' claim

Rather its deception where you see him while you are raiders raiding (hurr) a science facility (finding some interesting finds)

Deception exists on youtube just search for it.

"I don't even think that is the source quoted on any ''stukov is alive'' claim"

Wrong. Blizzard explicitly talked about Braxis being melted when they confirmed Infested Stukov as canon. (That happened in Resurrection IV, not Deception.)

Hmm can you link to that info?

However if they said stukov was canon then why have they talked about ''stukov might show up in starcraft 2''
    in interviews?

"However if they said stukov was canon then why have they talked about ''stukov might show up in starcraft 2'' in interviews?"

Because while they've acknowledged him, they don't have to use him. Also, they said he won't be in Wings of Liberty, and suggested he's part of the zerg plotline (so maybe Heart of the Swarm).

(I don't really keep up with WoW, but there are parallels. It took at least two expansions before the long-lost Garona finally reappeared. Blizzard has to cover their posterior. If they say "Stukov will definitely appear in StarCraft II!" and he doesn't appear in Wings of Liberty, there might be (e-)riots.)

    * Metzen -

o Taldarin is indeed canon. He is one of the greatest warriors of the Protoss. He fought alongside the mighty Adun. Wounded in battle, his body was kept in stasis until the dragoon exoskeleton was created. He was one of the first Protoss to become a dragoon. That said, we have begun to nail down the StarCraft timeline since this map was made, so disregard Taldarin's assertion that he fought alongside Adun three millennia before the events of the Resurrection map. Also, Taldarin's body didn't stay in stasis for several thousand years. Both time periods were significantly shorter than that. We'd rather not get more specific right now lest it interfere with the development of StarCraft II, but rest assured that having a fully fleshed out timeline is definitely our goal. <:
o Jim Raynor did indeed work with the Protoss, including Artanis and Taldarin, and Alexei Stukov was indeed freed from the Swarm (thanks to the serum devised by Protoss scientists) long enough for Raynor, Taldarin, and Stukov to get off the planet. At that point, Artanis gave the order to purify (yes, meaning "incinerate" the planet of Braxis. That said, Braxis is an ice planet, and so it has since frozen back over.

Ah only read and remembered this, thanks for the correction however are we only discussing liberty?? Sorry if I missed that

Blizzard already said Stukov won't be in Wings of Liberty.

I was addressing the question of whether Stukov would appear in StarCraft II. The comment I was replying too did not specify Wings of Liberty.

I hope UED commander didn't die. He was the best commander in history of starcraft. He alone beat the crap out of everybody with no allies. Especially he rocked in battle on char.

Nah, the Char battle was easy. He had an "I win" button called the Psi Disrupter.

Well it was one of hardest battles in UED campaign. There were 3 broods and with its tricks.
It was harder then battle on Aiur and Assault on Dominion I think.
