Why does it even matter? Evolution in no way disproves religion, and i fail to see how not recognising evolution would be advantageous to scientific and technological advancement.

    On the evolution topic:
If the humans were here first, then why are all those fossils in the ground? God meant for the humans to live in that paradise, never needing to develop any technology and just live in peace. Then why are all those fossils in the ground? Of creatures that are supposed to not exist? Nobody would ever see them anyway if you take the stories literaly. :s

To step of the riligious topic:
Whatever happened to people who payed attention to stuff that happens outside of their country? Lots of new technology comer from other countries, or at least they use it first. Look at Iceland for example. That country is one of the first to use geothermal power, and even hydrogen powered vehicles more then fossil feuled ones. So America is great, but it must stop thinking its always one step ahead of the rest.

The fact that so much developed and changed in the last 20 years alone probably shifts your viewpoint a bit, humanity's advancement wasn't always that fast and you shouldn't react like that if it slows down again for a bit.

Oh most definitely. The desktops we use are becoming increasingly faster. It's all thanks to America. Let's not forget companies such as Intel, ATI, Nvidia, etc who has revolutionised computing both processing and graphics wise and is still continuing to do so. To say they're otherwise is simply unfathomable.
