Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Suspense, Horror, and Mystery fan here.

I'm currently into Christopher Paolini thanks to my new copy of Brisingir.
I'm also reading the Ranger's Apprentice series by author name here to be replaced later.
And I've got to grab some Space Odyssey books now that I've discovered that the movies were based on the book.
    Richard Matheson. Hell yes.
I've got to re-read a lot of Christopher Pike novels my sister has, I really liked 'em...
Michael Crichton is an author I need to buy more books from.
Stephen King. I just have to sit down and go through some of the books my dad has.

Meee have u read the starcraft dark templar trilogy yet btw?
wikied the Rangers Apprentice books... seem to be alright.

And really if anyone is interested in Fantasy but want something new i suggest u to read read Empire in Black and Gold by Adrian Tchaikovsky. Its an interesting book, as the world created is quite unique along with the concepts of humans having characteristics from certain species of insects.

Sphere was pretty good. Andromeda Strain is probably his best, IMO. It's....gripping. Cause it could happen.

Also, I, Robot the book is way better than the movie.

Sphere is quite interesting. Its a good book and quite enjoyable.
Andromeda Strain was really fascinating in my opinion. I felt bad for the pilot at the end though :p
Hmm did anyone read the state of fear btw?

Hmm against my better judgment i decided to read Paul of Dune....
what can i say, the book was mediocre was putting it lightly... like the prequels the book utilizes the mysterious history of Dune and messes it up in the process. With certain characters doing activities which goes against their norm and adding a plot of the Bene Tleilax kwisatz haderach unnecessarily and dying not in the way stated in the original Dune made me cringe. I can't help but be disappointed at the way Brian Herbert seems to be milking off his father's work....

I refuse to even consider reading Paul of Dune. After forcing myself to read all the Dune books by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson through Sandworms of Dune, I decided to write them off as non-canon. The end of Sandworms was random, horrible, and stupid.

The Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett are good, especially the Watch novels. Sam Vimes is an awesome character.

Don't read it... its just so.... ugh...
the ending of the series was stupid. I mean they added the characters from non canonical setting and incorporated them into the ending... Whatever happened to the real ending Frank thought of? I mean really Duncan fusing with that robot? Thats just stupid. Also i hate the way they changed Marty and who ever in into the Robots... weren't they independent face dancers?

I haven't read any good books as of late, might be looking for some suggestions. Right now I'm focusing on collecting Manga, I pick up a weekly issue compilation work every month ( though unfortunately I missed the Second issue, and have yet to pick up November's ), known as Yen+. I've started reading Interview With A Vampire, after having watched it for the hundredth time. I've only gotten about halfway through it, and I'm eager to read The Vampire Lestat. I know Darkone knows all about these novels, but anyone else? Your opinions? And no spoilers please!

On another note, Michael Chrichton passed away on November 4th, in case anyone hadn't heard. He was Sixty-Six, and passed away from Cancer. I've only read Prey, but I know for a fact that the rest of his books are excellent works. It's a shame, really.
