Different coloured psi blades and auras

they said that we will be able to choose our team color from about 12 to 18 colors

so that way nobody ends up stuck with pink / brown archons and zealots

so i say KEEP THE TEAM COLOR AURAS AND BLADES

but i just wish that the zerg and terran had something that could color change as much as the archon and the pylons

they only have little armor changes and slight highlights

 

sweet... what would happen if 2 people both chose blue though?

 

well i assume it will be similar to AOE where the first person to take a color gets it
the next one who wants it will have to choose another or bargain with the guy who has it to give it up

but with a possible 18 colors, its unlikely that you will be forced to take pink or brown if you dont want to

 

oh i see... sort of like wc3. i thought the color thing would work like halo's color thing.

 

I believe that the color selection will be exactly the same like in SC1

in SC1 u were randomly given a color, now u can choose like in AOE or WC

 

No black tho, sucks but it makes sense.

 

If you think black is a good idea try playing VS a black player on any Wasteland map on Warcraft 2.
Is that part of your Fog of War or a giant batch of Ogres waiting to slaughter your Footmen?

The coloured archons are interesting but I think they'd be better off using something else to show colour.
Like the veins of power that rotated around them.

 

You're right Major Willy. Blizzard should keep the original blue power of the protoss. Just give bigger colored veins of power to the Archons to recognize each player, like for SC1. And, of course, the pylons must stay blue, The Khaydarin crystal is blue, so it must stay blue !!

All right Blizzard Entertainment ?!

Seriously, we just take blue khaydarin crystals so the pylon must still get a blue khaydarin crystal no ? Else anything written in the official Starcraft book is senseless if Blizzard itself does not respect what it wrote in the past !!!

about pylons, i have to agree with Samir, the crystal itself it blue,, why would that change?

about archons and zealots, i love the idea of zealots shredding guys with red or green blades and a green archon (even tho it would look bad if u chose brown)

what if the khaydarin crystals were still blue but had like psi energy flares of the team color swirling around it?

some of the colors are really weird, apart from blue, i can only tolerate red, green and purple (...lol that's like all the colors of light sabers in star wars)

 

i would go nuts if they colored the creep, i could accept everything except that

Colored creep. Hmm I would have to see it first to decide. If it were in pastels I would probably not have a problem but regular bright red and deep blue would probably look real bad

 

maybe if the creep had colored higlight spots in it

i really want to see the creep look better, less uniformity, maybe a random bubbling acid pool

and at its edges a cool parasite reaching out and spreading like a disease

instead of just the same all the way through

Yeah can't wait to see the new creep. Look at what they did for the Psi fields with the animated hex grid and that is only visable whe building

 

As well as zealots, pylons can be all sorts of new colours.
