it'd be nice to have day and night but weather might kill the lesser comps who are trying to play SC2, it's not an important play mechanic and a lot of places wouldn't have weather.

Weather would be basically putting SC2 on WC3 maps. It wouldn't work out so good.

I like night and day, but I don't want night to be pitch blackness or anything. Just dim the lights a little and reduce unit vision somewhat.

Pitch black could be interesting on say space platforms when the planet blocks the sun.

I guess it's not a bad idea as long as it's kept out of the game itself but available in the map editor.

    I love the idea

definately not pitch-blackness that would be too far,

i say that as night creeps across the land, protoss and terran building lights flicker on, lighting up the landscape

but what about zerg? i suppose they can have a sort of enhanced alien night vision with a sorto of tinted look

it would add all new stealthy strategy

but what about the minimap? if the minimap shows unit locations bright and clear, then the darkness will not add much stealth. Unless as it gets dark, so do the minimap unit locations of enemies

Maybe just various "weather conditions" for the "cool factor", but not so much that it impairs gameplay or actually affects the units.

Thank you for the video ! :good:

SC2 seems to be a beautiful game, with a lot of new visual effects. The doodads, the decoration are great !!

The gameplay is excellent too. I believe however that there must be some changes anyway.

I really like the idea of night time, great time for sneak attacks with small units like reapers and zerglings. This is where the terran Radio dome comes handy. Anyway i want to give you my first zeratul11

Lol. Maybe it is going to go patrol mode, and all these lights go on, either that, or it goes night vision and can see even farther then siege tanks.

Night and Day will be nice, However it should be in the shouldn't of WC3. What I'm thinking is nearly pitch black where there are no units and head lights and torches in units field of vision.
