Who says that once they run out of updates they will turn to the Zerg? I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the Zerg in February, knowing Blizzard.

I really hope we get something by Christmas, though.

Why go out with your girlfriend and family for Chirstmas when you can stay at home in tune for SC2 Zerg updates? That's just ridiculous.

But a player cannot change what units are considered mechanical, and they will be able to change where cliffs and other terrain are in a map. So you can't link just being able to go down cliffs to just being able to repair mechanical units, because mechanical units are completely controlled, but any player could easily exploit this mechanic in the map editor.
If Zerglings are given this ability, they will need to be made either weaker or more expensive, either way it is a severe disadvantage to Zerg. Now, if someone made a map where all the bases were on higher ground, then the Zerglings new ability would pretty much be useless. In the end they would be weaker, more expensive and not even able to use the ability effectively.
Mechanical units will always be mechanical, but the terrain on the maps will always change.

People are always making crap maps that give them an advantage. This mechanic will not change that. No reason to scrap an idea because some people are assholes who can't stand to lose

thanx for support Itza. That is exactly what i am talking about, terrain will always change, you cant change unit types (mechanical, biological) without making it a UMS map.

The SCV can heal mechanical units ALL THE TIME, while zerglings would NOT be able to use its special ability all the time, and making the most basic zerg unit oriented into special situations where you are attacking lower ground is just... bad.

@ Bird you calling blizzard assholes? cuz it is them who do all the maps you know, and believe me, there will be maps where you start on high ground, but also where you start on low ground. making starting locations exactly the same makes the game pretty much boring.

ok i thought you meant that zerglings jumping down cliffs will be fine as long as all maps look mostly the same lol...

    omg!ahhhhhh ur driving me insane!
if the zerg are put on higher ground to start and zerglings can jump down, then that is the way its supposed to be.
to make a certain level harder
i mean starting location is just as important as how many starting units you get
you would agree with me that the last level in sc was harder than the first right?
well on the first level, the zerg would be lower and on the last they would start higher
just to make the map harder
maps change all the time and so does the amount of difficulty

i just dont understand what your basing this cataclismic change off of
what about this would completely unbalance the game?
if you dont want the zerg to jump on top of you, dont put them there

it sound like you are thinking too much about solo playing when making your posts. when playing online, there is no difficulty to change, ´cept for the players "difficulties". So, the multiplayer maps would not get "harder" lol.

Non-Zerg players could use this to their advantage. Zerg players would have to start choosing the maps they're playing so that they aren't given a disadvantage, instead of having free range of what maps they choose like Terran and Protoss.

ok Itza does have a point but still they can just choose a different map
and as i said b4 if they had zerg start on bottom or top or w/e its becasue thats where the map maker put them
if the player doesnt like where they start, all that means is that they dont like the map
so again they can just play a different map

Zerg players should not have to choose their maps carefully if the other races get free range. The Zerglings should either be able to glide down cliffs and fly up them, or not do any at all.
