I didn't say EVERY PS2. My PS2 works fine too.
But lots of consoles have problems from my experience.

Um, I had the GameCube for about 4 years before we got a Wii and never once had any issue with it. Plus, the Wii has been out for well over a year, and I haven't heard anything about Nintendo's next system.

Personally, I think PCs become outdated faster since you need to keep upgrading every so often to keep playing the higher lvl games made for them. I recently got my RAM doubled to 2GB as a early Christmas present.

I've already addressed that. Why does everyone here have a problem with exaggerations?! But in a sense you've proved my point. You had the old console until the new one came out, when you, practically, had to buy it. A mate of mine won an Xbox, only for the Xbox360 to come out a year or two later, so was practically forced to buy it. You don't get that with computers.

And, as I said, my computer was new in 2002. The only things that have been upgraded since was RAM and my Graphics Card, and those cost less that seventy bucks all up. If I'd've had the same problems with a console, I'd've had to've bought a brand new one.

It's not exaggerations in general, we just didn't expect it from you ;) Besides even for an exaggeration "half a year" sounds off for something with a lifespan of several years. But maybe that's just me

Even for an exaggeration 'half a year' sounds off? Isn't that the point of an exaggeration?

And when do I not exaggerate?

    I said it's just me

Think I'd know? I'd have to, like, pay attention or something.

Um what about sega? They were big in the console wars in the 80's/90's before they lost big time.

And to me I think the console as a piece of hardware is just as good as a PC/Apples. They both are goodly capable of being systems for great games. And whatever direction Nintendo or Sony or Blizz or whoever go doesn't bother me such. They all have their aims and want to achieve them. The winner for me is the game that looks ok, plays alright and most importantly is fun. No fun and I don't care how HD the game is. Beautiful boring is still boring.

Personally for me over the years: Nintendo, Capcom, Square, Blizzard and Rare have made some of the games I've found the most fun to play. Plus a few others like Metroid Prime etc. But really it's a personal thing. Just get the system that has the games that you find the most fun. And you'll be happy.
