colossus vs. siege tank

Wait...I didn't think they were doing to have the reaver in SC2. I thought the colossus was going to be its replacement. So the reaver is returning?

i prefer the colossus, it looks cooler

 

I am a Siege Tank supporter, although the Colossi are cool too.

 

The colossus just looks to be a better weapon for fighting lightly armored units in battle.

 

I like both of them really, its just that i play terran so i support the siege tank.

 

I plan to use Protoss so I support the colossus. Colossus ftw!

 

The Colossus definitely seems stronger, and it is like 10x more expensive.

But I think the Siege Tank is more gangsta than the Colossus, so I prefer our Long-ranged friend

I think it looks like the Colossus is better against light armoured targets, sige tanks is better when you are going to destroy a building. Btw, can the colossus shot at targets just in front of it, or is it like the sige tank?

 

The Colossus can shoot at targets just in front of it.

 

To me it would all be subject on the situation, am I defending a base? Then I pick tanks, am I on a quick offensive? Then colossi, harassment tactics? Tanks in dropships and Colossus creeping up on an over cliff then creeping back...

 

for the harassment, I think the colossus would work better. Its constant beam would destroy the entire group of packed drones/probes/SCV in a matter of seconds, whereas the siege tanks would take longer because they have a decent pause between firing, so it would take longer.

 

Seeing as the tank is Terran and the collosus is Protoss the use of either would depend on what race I am playing at the time.

 

Ultralisk will pwn them both...
