I thought the reason the cobra was out is because the thor replaced it?

It replaced its GtA role, but the Thor already existed so they removed a unit while not actually adding a new one, just changing an old one...

Yeah, they will both be mechanised, one airborn and one from the Factory. The one from the Factory is most likely hovering though.

I don't think there needs to be another factory unit. We already have thre, don't we? Unless the thor is still built by an SCV. I hope there's some kind of revolutionizing unit the Terran get.

The thor is still built separate from the factory, so it doesn't take up a slot in the factory. This leaves an empty slot for a new unit to be built. Hopefully, it will be a unit that will be better then the cobra (the cobra was a good unit to begin with) and will have decent AA capabilities as well.

But whats the point in building a tier two unit with an scv? I thought the Thor is now a Tier two unit that's smaller? I'm pretty sure that's what Cavez said. He said it's smaller, It costs a lot less, and it has half the health of the "super Unit". I would get from that information that it's tier two and built from factory.

Why another AA unit? we have the thor

The Thor is still slow even tho its smaller. And the thor is the same tier as far as i remember.

So the thor is now ganna be like 5 goliths put into 1. How freakin sweet. well i'm lookin at it this way is blizzard plans to have all the races have about the same ammount of units the cobra and predator is out and the protoss might be getting another air. that means to keep the numbers in units balanced the terrans (MIGHT) have space for 3 new units..... some thing dosent add up here. I wonder what blizzard is doing???

I think we need to asssemble and train ninjas in infaltrat the blizzard base and probe and steal some information. I will personaly take chage in the training the selected ninjas. Who wants to join??? were giving free candy

I like the Cobra but i guess taking out the Cobra is the best way to keep the Thor in anyway....lets bring back the Vulture

Some how i have the feeling blizzard didnt want another hover tank, thats why they removed the cobra. what they need to do is intergrade the golith with the vulture like they did with the viking. Make a machine that has a speed mode and a fighter mode. that would be so bad ass.

Well there are several Secret Terran units, so no worries about that.

@furrer How is the Thor replacing the Cobra, then? It's price, size, and heqlth were all decreased and now it seems perfect for factory building. 250/200 min/gas is a little above siege tank costs and prefect for Tier two or 2.5

from what they said the thor is only replaced the role of the cobra. not its place in the factory unless u herd different from some where else. if so can u post a link cause i havent seen it yet and i'd like to know.

Well it has to be Tier 2, seeing its nerfs and replacing the Cobra makes it sound like it should be on the same tier as the cobra, or else it wouldn't be much of a replacement. And if you believe that, then the next step of logic would be that it's built from the factory, seeing that the building with an SCV would be a waste, since it's not ultra uber anymore.
