As for urban warfare I meant city streets and such not inside of buildings in confined places.

lings? what the hell. When did I ever bring up zerglings. You have cobras there for ANTI-ARMOR. You would have something else for when something not armored attacks you. It's called having a balanced force.
And why the f**k would anyone think their role would suddenly change just because something else attacks you. If you have banshees and some air units attack you they don't become anti-air just because something else is attacking you. I have no idea how you managed to wrap your head around this argument.

Oh so saying stuff like you'll lose 90% of the time doing that and the terran army is useless and trashy when used like that DOESN'T mean that you assume I suck... okayyyyyyyyy... Why wouldn't I just keep getting more units till I reach 200? Because 1) resources and 2) I don't sit in my base twiddling my dick, I attack which generally causes units to die. And dropships don't cost a whole lot of resources so getting enough is not usually a problem. And I never said that I never get ambushed or caught unprepared.

You'll probably think I'm arrogant, full of myself, or think some other negative thing about me for saying this but I've gone head to head with devout anti-evolution young-earth Christians and gotten one of them to realize that what they were saying really didn't make any sense. And this was in person face to face not some over the internet bullshit. It took many conversations over many days. And religious beliefs are one of those things that people almost NEVER give up on. So I can play this little "game" for a long time.

@Nikzad - I guess sarcasm and common sense is lost on you? How could I possibly know about all the posts from before I was even here. I sure didn't go read all of them. That would be a waste of time.

@Gold - No, remy did not win. But hey, maybe you could go over to the other threads where I've debated with people and say that they've won too. Because guess what, they didn't win either but there's always some random person saying "I think ____ won." Like the graphics one which I won.

@ArchLimit - because the only person Remy calls stupid is me while I call out lots of people for saying stupid things. Also, nobody powers down moderators. If I didn't get powered down I would have a LOT higher power level. I've gone up and down from 8 to 0 at least 4 times not including the time I went from 8 to -4. That would be about 44.

Go ahead say that I bring up all this and then contradict myself by saying "so what?" But I think every other person can clearly understand the reasoning behind it.

And don't confuse "theorycrafting" with speculation on something underdevelopment. You can theorycraft on things that are in full existence and far after release. You theorizing that a strat could work according to your theorized environments is how most people would accept theorycrafting is. Otherwise most of this forum would be purely "theorycrafting."

The point is to point out your hypocrisies. And you don't seem to have changed since over a month ago, so time is not a very pertinent variable. Which post was sarcastic? The one where you were defending yourself after being called a noob? Or the one where you cited Rule #3 to Remy?

So much arguing over ONE unit. If i were you, i'd try to speak in a little more... concise manner. In fact, i take that back. If i were you, i'd just drop the whole discussion and put my prayers in Blizzard they don't f**k up the f***ing cobra in an entirely f***ing foolish, f***ing pathetic way. = I trust they do the right thing.

Also, shoot me if you wish for posting this, but i am going to express my POV on this "powerlevel" situation, as well as the "lolol i have many posts i r great" thing.

I am going to disregard any possible power-ups or power-downs that has occured in the past, and just concentrate on what you have now:
First: Remy has 950 posts (at the time of typing) and 53 power level. That equals about 1 powerup per 17.92 posts.

Second: Paragon has 2641 posts (at the time of typing) and 7 power level. That equals about 1 powerup per 377.28 posts.

Paragon, it's not a friggin mystery if you get powered down, it's either because: 1) you're rude to people. 2) there's some low-life, jealous punk hiding around on the forum who's specifically targeted you for constant power-downing because of your high quality posts and high post count. (not sarcastic. Just an option)

Now, seeing as your power-downing has settled since the "reason behind power-downuping" was implemented, i am not exactly sure what to think. Try to be nice, and like, keep your urge to slap those silly fools with your truth, in check. And don't correct peoples opinions all the time, even if they are somehow faulty. It's utterly pointless, and if you're going to anyway, do it without the "don't take this personally, but you're a f**king dumbass".

But I would take the big risk of going up against the master of the universe who is alway right and tell you that you not only are immature, you are insecure as hell. i jsut noticed that theres a level 5/6 name which is purple, but its not as good as red.

if sc2forums reads this i think they should make the level after red a two tone colour, purple and yellow

so a yellow outlininer and purple on the inside, or black and yellow, or white and blue or something

 

HAHA, I totally second that. At the cost of having these two hapless fellows typing their fingers off we get to grab the popcorn and bask in pure entertainment.

Here's my take on the Cobra as well as the two combatants.

While I find myself rarely using the vulture and wouldn't really miss it, I do feel that the Cobra isn't quite living up to the vulture (I know Reapers are considered the more specific replacement). I think it needs a lil bit of work on the design as I am NOT too fond of it being a hovercraft that looks a little too "light." It looks like if you were to drop u'r camera angle to view it from the side u'd see that the Cobra is only pixel thin. What would make me love this unit is a speed upgrade (despite immediate seemingly imba issues) and an overall heftier look to it, oh, and adding an acceleration mechanism might be really great as well. Might even work to serve as an balance issue. The wraith had acceleration.

As far as the combatants go, I'm just going to say that we have two VERY intelligent people here. Remy, you are very poignant and effective. Paragon, believe it or not I do agree with some of your points. Not all, but some. I'm not sure if you have a good grasp on what points of yours are terrific and which ones are just fluff, but I would recommend that you stick with your "good" ones and sustain them with less hostility and arrogance. That's all it really is, Paragon, is arrogance.

Sometimes a person can have great ideas and a lot to offer but his method of approach just turns people away. Bottom line is, whether you think we're justified or YOUR justified or how unfair the world might be, the current situation is that you have a large crowd opposed against you. All the reasoning and cries of bias won't account for this cold reality.

And you keep saying that you got powered down for "no reason" during that week. There IS a reason. There were apparently MANY reasons from MANY people. Please take what we're saying into consideration and so that we won't shun what would be some great posts or opinions with "Oh, it's just coming from that one guy who boasts so much."

like i said before i think it should ahve a round shell on the top of it liek the vulture, i also think it should be faster, remeber how fast the vulture was.(theres a balance issue i know, but imagine how cool it would look)

Hey Gold, I'm flattered that you'd ask. Only thing is that I don't have enough avatars made to accommodate the ones who ask me and I don't wanna be too selective about it y'know? But what I might do is toss up an avatar or two up into the shop, so that way those who want it can have it. It does take a while to make a unique avatar from scratch, and if I did it for anyone that asked... I'd be... quite busy.

But I'll hit SC2 forums up when he has time regarding having them for sale or something.
