So if LordKerwyn is also an administrator, why are we having this problem? Is it a glitch or you just haven't had the time to reward everyone?

 

Here is the catch with alot of things that are done, either they are horribly complex and are difficult to figure out (a surprising majority of requests I have seen can fall here), or they are simple but require a massive amount of time to complete, and a lot of people in mod positions don't have the time or are stuck because someone else they are dependent on doesn't have the time (a lot of things that affect a large number of members but not in an organized fashion fall here, this are probably the second largest category of problems; a good example is the mineral hunt). Fianlly there is the third category which is simple problems that don't require a lot of time to solve, there isn't very many of these because they are normally dealt with as soon as they come up.

The reason the rewards for the mineral hunt havn't been given out yet is Jon hasn't had the opportunity to do so and I don't have the list of who has completed it and when (in fact any global could distribute the minerals but they would still require the list). I guess it comes back to the same old party line of please be patient and the rewards will be given out as asoon as possible.

As for the christmas present idea that was floating around, the coding failed miserably and we couldn't figure out a good solution in a timely manner.

No offense, but I actually thought it would be more than 1000. Like... 3000 or something because of our hard work on clue number two.

 

It's likely based off of how fast you did, I got 2000 and I know I'd finished before you did Darktemp.

 

I got 2500 and i was one of the few to finish first.

 

The rewards were still "nerfed" compared to previous hunt (top prize then was 15 000 I think?). Probably because there isn't as much minerals in the system yet as there was back then.

I meant to post this yesterday, the prizes were based off of two things the place you came in and the first place prize (off which all of the others were based) was based off the amount of minerals that currently exist. Basicly I didn't want the top 5 finishers to suddenly be the top 5 richest people, which the would have been by a longshot if the prizes were anywhere close to what they were for the last mineral hunt. I don't think anyone wants competitions to be the primary way of gaining minerals and especially to the extent where they would overide all other forms of gaining minerals.

 

Good thinking. 2K for me was enough, as I had less than 5k beforehand and gave me enough for the Kerri Doll I'd been saving for.

What was the amount for the 1st 5 places?

 

First prize was 3k, 2nd 2.5k, 3rd 2k, 4th and 5th 1.5k, and finally 5th-10th 1k.

 

i got 5th place? i thought i was much lower on the scale than that.

 

Not as many people competed as you would have thought, have you wondered why I didn't say anything about 11th+?

 

being 2am boxing day morning when i saw the competition screwed over my chance of getting higher (i can't do clue 2 that early >_>)

hmm i guess your right, if this hunt happened a while ago when the forums were much more active many more people would have participated.

 

hmm just a question but did anyone receive their free pets?
and i seem to be missing my minerals which i stored in my bank.... uh...

 

The minerals all reset so yeah o.o n no we didn't get our free pet yet.
