DISCLAIMER: Mr. Mod, this is not a flame post. Read the whole thing and do not edit, It took a while to make.

Sup. I'd like to clarify, and ask about a few things that happened around here that are STILL not clear for me.
I never post in clan E, mainly because its not my clan, and I'm not interested in it, just like you guys don't seem to be interested in SC2F.org's affairs, which again seems odd considering its being hosted there and not in say.. SCF.com? or clanE.com or something..
Anyway, the reason why I, and I'm assuming lobsterlegs, sniper and others, posted here on that infamous thread was one, and one only, which was that Sniper was flamed right after he posted.
Now, even though I agree on the fact that he indeed knew nothing about what was going on, and should not have commented about it, the reply to it wasn't exactly diplomatic. It was more like: Dude you f**ing moron you don't belong here gtfo stfu.
Now, you guys know the details of what happened so I'm not going to explain it again. All i'm wondering is:

Why the harsh reaction, why the hate towards ''forum lurkers'', when this clan is

a- Open for anyone to read and post
b- Hosted on SC2F.org

A question yet unanswered. And even this ''peaceful'' thread opens up with Shadow saying:

''we will cease all owning of thy trollers of SC2F.Org

We are gonna be the more mature adult ones and stop.''

Those two statements imply 2 things:

A- That Lobster, Sniper etc.. are trollers and that you're not, which is.. questionable to say the least. And also:
B- That you're the mature ones to stop, and that the other ones are the immatures that troll nonstop. When the true reason behind their trolling was simply to defend a member being flamed here by you.

This post is not meant to be aggresive. All I'm trying to say is the following: If you don't like SC2F members getting here and talking about your stuff, then make the forum a closed one. Allow only clan members to post, move to a different website, or something like that. But I'f you're keeping it open to the public, expect to have people outside the clan discussing about stuff, or, as you say, ''Lurking''.
This, I would say, is the price to pay when you host a Clan forum in a seemingly related website.

And also, a quick lesson in diplomacy... when you're trying to make a truce with someone, try not calling them trolls and immature people on that thread, because that will.. well.. arouse their anger.

Good and valid points, i shall change that right away!!! (by change, I mean the main topic opener)

However, they included there own cents in something that was very very serious, and we asked them to stop it. Sniper made a blunt kick at me, so i fired back. The way the tone was, Doesnt matter who it is, they shouldnt even friggin post in something like that. If A and B were arguing about something in between themselves, would it be right for you or me to include our opinions in something we no nothing about?

Its not that I hate SC2F, i love it, its very up to date with SC2, and i spread the word on battle.net, believe me. But not EVERYTHING applies to me. I read some, but i dont always post. My favorite threads are the technology threads SC2 updates.

M, when it comes down to it, you should be careful when you post, in anything that is sensitive by nature. They included themselves for no reason without even knowing what we were talking about.

3 things happend a year ago, and thats why myself, and others, arent 100% with forum lurks.

1) when we were first here we were posting 'dup' threads, but we explained that it was OUR forums, however, the 'lurks' continued there massive barage of complaing to mods and fighting us.

2) We were yet again discriminated against becuase our boards had dup threads and we were getting minerals for it. That made Kurai and a bunch of others pissed off, so we got minerals removed (later given back)

3) POST count, and this made me furious and hatred arose to forum lurks. The biggest arguement was post count, which in my honest opinion, was stupid. They fought us over forum posts. We got discriminated again, and that was removed and we were basically a 'space junk'

Now a little about ourselves.

We are a warring clan (not use of bots warring) but a clan that doesnt take crap from other battle.net clans (hacker clans and warrer clans alike), so what makes you think we would take this crap from forum people? We are defensive of our clan and will do what we have to do.

Dark1 and Kuv can both tell you, we arent bad harsh assholes, we are just very defensive towards outsiders. Lombar was an outsider, but he got off on the right foot, and thats why we accepted him, even into clan. DarkOne was against us at first, but now he knows we arent assholes, we are just defensive of our clan

Read up on it M, we arent harsh, but we will fight who we have to. Sniper posted calling me 'useless' for the forums. Lobster had a sig of me and Tink and made insults to the clan. Ren just included himself and I didnt like the way he had a talk with Kuv about 'getting under our skins'

So there you have it.

 

Oh, another thing about the diplomacy with sniper part.

Fact is, he shouldnt have posted in a serious thing like that. Even after me n Rex had a rumble, sniper wanted to post something anyways. Rex and I talked and he said sorry he misread. Ok, but sniper wanted to post something anyways. Thats when things got bad, cuase than lobster comes into the picture.

I just feel, if you see two people arguing about something you know nothing about, keep your 2 cents out of it.

simply put, we been on these forums for a year now and the animosity for outsiders was because of all the initial feedback and attack we got from just them. We were fine posting our own stuff, staying to ourselves, but everybody seemed to have a problem with our board, how it gave minerals.. how we "1 worded replied", how we "Spammed" (though I didnt get my 1600 posts from empire board alone and see the **** we were accused of outside the board ALOT) and post count ect...
The hostility Lobsterlegs, Rex, sniper... and whoever else have dealt with just recently may not have been seeded by them, but by the general public of this forum around this time last year and everyone who is ignorant to this fact im very sorry we could not wise you up for your own good.

Like shadow said, dark1.. Lombar.. ect have made it within our community fine. But it will forever be thin ice when an outsider posts especailly depending on the topic and their reply.

 

If you read "Bye Guys" by Cow, you will see how me and Rex started to argue but it was resolved, and it included everything that Sniper and Lobster was about to do... INCLUDE THEMSELVES IN THINGS THEY DIDNT KNOW ABOUT.

Ignorance? Or did they not bother reading the previous posts to a topic that is very sensitive to anyone, SC2F.org and Clan Empire members alike.

 

Hooo boy, looks like alot of stuff went around when i wasn't on for a while.

What i think that should've happened when the first guns were shot was to warn them of temp ban, close the thread, delete it and forget it ever happened.

If they want to argue more, last warning, report it, close the thread ect.

If they continue after, perm ban and its over, no more insults and the guilty party will only be able to view from then on.

Even after they stopped posting in the Forums, I would post in an outside forum and get completley attacked. In Telephants intro, (Who i know from B.net), Lobster attacked me without reason to, IN AN INTRO thread. DarkOne can tell you this, as he read and seen the entire thread himself before Fenix closed it.

'Diplomacy' or 'Talks' could not happen becuase things heated up fast.

 

Yea, what lobster did in Tele's intro thread was really uncalled for.

 

no surprise to me dark1. they may feel innocent, that we lash out like trolls, are immature and should talk things through... bottom line is this board Says Clan Empire. You should atleast have an idea of what sort of threads you will be seeing based off this fact.

We do not go outside this board, not atleast with the behavior we display here. They come to our board, are More then Welcome to come to our board, but to think we dont see someone posting a smart ass reply, thinking they are witty little kids with smart ass remarks that others think are a "mature response". Guess what, a flame is a flame regardless of whether or not you say they are an imbesil or flat out say ****in idiot.

Also, nobody should be coming to these boards looking for a "Mature Conversation". What the **** does that even mean? Im sure alot of responses and topic in this forum are Mature in nature in the sense that a typical 13 year old wouldnt care (Lobby as example), but the word mature gets tossed around so much it carries no meaning anymore. You know what it means to be mature? Get a girl pregnant you decide to man up and be a father, This is MY idea of "Mature". Not a witty comeback or remark on these forums no matter how composed or compiled it may appear to be.

No but seriously, Tink, Im just clearing things up with anyone who has any problems. Dragon God, for example, i asked to ask or voice any opinion and I would gladly clear or answer it.
