They fire a volly of rockets which are spaced out so when they hit they hit multiple targets, maybe this was misinterpreted as AoE

Well yeah, but now they're targeted at one unit, I think. Once again, don't take this as authoritative, I could be wrong. I just thought I read that somewhere.

Yea, basically they fire messy shots everywhere within a certain radius of the target and damage whatever they hit.

That would be pretty bad I think they would loose their hardpoint, so I hope the splash effect is still in.

I agree with you, it seemed to me that splash damage was what made the Banshee so effective. I don't think it's true, but you never know.

i will be sad if the banshee losses its ablitiy to hit lots of units weather its splash or targeting each unit if the banshee.

The whole point of the unit was to dominate ground units and lots of them. Without aoe the Banshee can't do it effectively. The Banshee still has AoE, that was just some rumor.

I think giving the shee a cloak ability was too much of a counter. maybe if they made them slow but they are normal speed as I've seen.

I think the banshee is balanced - even with AOE. Its like the wraith - just better and with ground attack only. It can easily be countered by vikings + detector, phoenixes with detectors, and mutalisks + detectors (overlords). And the invisible ability is surely like it was in Starcraft BW, it costs mana pr. s.

I think the air attack should and probably has been removed. I mean, the Immortal is a tank, has an energy shield around it, and is pretty big. It will without a doubt have a strong ground only attack.

And there is other units to make up for the loss of the Dragoon and its air to air attack.
