Can Protoss Be Infested???

but there could be chance that Duran is a Xel'Naga Ancient right? You said he was older then the Admiral so it might mean he is as old as the protoss?

 

He might be, but the Admiral is only a man of 60 something.

The original overmind many thousands of years. How many isn't known though.

 

Duran isn't a terran. He looks like one, but he's older than Zeratul (who is himself over 600). Duran called Zeratul a "young prodigal".

Whether he's a xel'naga, a servant thereof or a possessing spirit, he's not a normal terran.

Also, based on Kerrigan's troubles learning to infest terrans, we know she didn't infest him. (Or, if she did, she has to realize by now it didn't work.) It's more likely either the Overmind did it, some cerebrate we never heard about did it, or he just infiltrated the swarm somehow.

 

I think Kerrigan tried to infested but it failed because when Zeratul asked if Kerrigan was behind making the hybirds he said she had nothing to do with it. Maybe he is working for another higher race or something?

 

That very well could be. Like a higher race that found out about the Xel'Naga, and want to finish what they started.

 

Or a race that rivals the Xel'naga...

There was supposed to be infested protoss in an earlier build, hopefully they have the models.

 

They removed it before you could create them by infesting Protoss buildings. I hope they have it in the Sc2 Editor.

 

Oh they will, they said all removed units will be in the editor.

I doubt we'll get a whole campaign, maybe a five mission one, like the "Enslavers" campaign on the original. Of course they might make it longer with expansions later on. We'll just have to wait and see.

Same, I don't like having to beat games using the cheats, the cheats are for fun later on. However, I couldn't beat the last mission of Brood War, for the longest time, without using cheats. Not until I made a post here, asking for tips, and I beat it. Not much I didn't know myself, just a few tips that helped.

 

Personally, I don't really care about the campaign. I beat 90% of the SC1:BW campaign using cheats so I could see the story.(raises anti-flame shield)

 

I only cheated on 1 mission because i couldn't do it, one of the installation ones, but yeah in blizzard games the story is really the focal point and cheating doesn't kill the fun.

 

I always use "There is no cow level" on installation games cause their sorta boring >.>

 

I cheated to see the story as well, but I only used the power overwhelming trick to see in-game story developments. When it was all done I went back and beated the game legitimately.

Infestation can work easily on a race like the terran, but it is a bit more controversial with the protoss; their minds would be far too powerful to control with convential infestation means I would imagine. The only possible explaination would be the protoss' mind is dead, the parasites are in control of its body.
