    I think they should bring it back, but maybe change it to make land units. That would at least be more practical, if not cooler. At the minute, the only real advantage the Star Base has over the Star Port, is the ability to produce air units over impassable (and thus unlandable) terrain, such as water and space, but as starcraft maps mostly consist of passable terrain, even that advantage is mostly useless.

    i think the best thing about the star base is the fact that it cant be attacked by all AG units, thus not by siege units

    as much i want it back, it would way to IMBA, all you need to do is secretly move the starbase in a remote location where nobody will look and secretly build a force.

    so? starcraft maps are small, and you can easily scoute them with a couple of vikings, and you need a base to have minerals for the thing to produce

    Sort of like an aircraft carrier but one in the air :D Its a very great idea and the looks , I would just love to be terran for that unit!

    Lol, ditto with meee :p Drie, its not a spaceport, Space port makes air units on the ground and it can pack and fly but while its not in the air it cannot produce aircraft , this star base CAN produce aircraft and repair or whatever it can do and be mobile hence its a aircraft carrier in air! Lol an aircraft that holds other aircraft! :p

    starbase is upgraded starport. Like you get greater spire from regular one or hive form lair/hatchery.

    Ah... corey, it's an upgrade. It will still be a building, but it will be called Star Base and not Star Port. It will be able to create units both on land and in the air.
