Vulkans the only name that fits the abilities that we have seen, but then again they may be changing them.

Haha, you're not going too well with these polls lately, eh Ace?

Well that's one vote for Nighthawk, and it was a mistake. Sounds a bit like the name change itself. Oh, yes, I went there.

See? I'm sure the unit's abilities and attacks might have changed as well.

Now that we have seen the unit, we should see it in action as in a video or so. I expect the vote for Nighthawk to increase.

    Nighthawk FTW.

All we need now is a few vids and it's skills in action.

I don't think they changed much for the skills - if I'm not wrong they still drop Turrets, and I can't see any attacks on the screenshots, unless someone can point one out to me... :?/

    They have three abilities.
    Mines
    Auto Turret

and this new drone, where it targets a enemy, making it take twice the damage.

Just 50% more, but close :D

I still think nighthawk should be given to an offensive, slim air unit, not a scientific caster vessel. It would look nice on the banshee, actually, since screaming still doesn't go with stealth.

So does it cloak now as well? The name suggests so.

I'm not sure if the Drone was spawned by the Nighthawk. Jon made a quick rap-up of the units ability in the blog and did not mention this one.

    Maybe a ghost ability?

    You mean Targeting Drone.

    A Drone is a Zerg worker. :)

I'm sure we'll see more of this later, but just to give you a preview:
I feel the new name fits very well.

Nighthawk fits the model, but the model doesn't fit the unit. It looks more like a sleek fighter than a constructor.

This new concept can generate mines... for free?

No support points used, or minerals or anything else either? Endlessly? Seriously?

    New poll:
_Will the mines have a lifetime?
_Will the nighthawk/whatever have a limited use of this ability (like the former vulture)?
_Will the mines cost minerals and/or supply points?

From what I've heard the Mines cost fifty Energy. After all, the Nighthawk is a spellcaster. After that, I think they'd just stay there until triggered, just as they did in StarCraft1. So although it's technically free and not limited, they can't just produce an infinite amount. It costs Energy.

Can you imagine the mine field that can be provided by 2 or 3 of these units ?! Zerg and Protoss with all the melee units are going to get raped D=
