Blizzard just isn't ready for the console. There's just to much competition for blizzard to stand a chance in sales. They also have the wall street to consider now. If they release a bad game they would loose credibility as a cash maker for its investors.

my reply to earlier in the thread(maybe we should get our own thread for this)
The high elves are not unaffected, they never were immortal after they left the Night elf society, since they never were granted the power of the world tree after losing the original well of eternity
the naga capital resides almost under the former location of the well, so they are still immortal, since their mutations are caused by the well fallout itself

Point is: The supreme leader of the burning legion is already dead and his spirit is locked away on azeroth.

here is something that might interest you: the horde consists of two parts; the dark horde,(not to be confused with the blackrock version of the dark horde) and thralls horde
The dark horde consists of members of the shadowmaw clan(the orc warlocks), Undercity, the grimmtotem taurens(even though attackable in the game) and the sin'dorei
What might have happened is these two fractions breaking up, seeing as that was narrowly averted in wrath of the lich king, the chance is big that it might happpen later on
