    Wow....
if they're gonna ask for money to play online....
i have to agree with haitu about the pop-ups
if i remeber doesnt blizzard have WoW which u need 20$ a month,
and some other games not to mention the board games, trading cards.
so now they're gonna ask to play starcraft 2 with 10$ a month?
arent they getting atleast a few mill players on WoW which is like 60 mill a month.....
i think they should just leave starcraft free.
if they put the quarter for every game... shouldnt you be able to play for free with friends
heh oh well, i wonder how many people will be camping in front of a store on SC2 realse date :)

  2. They aren't GOING TO CHARGE FOR BATTLE.NET!!!

The only thing that is up for debate is whether or not features that you most likely will never use or even know about or care about will be free or not.

100 times the repeat order from all blizzrd. Battle.Net will not only charge will be charged is change your name / purchase some gifts, etc. ... there will be more new BattleNet as Facebook or MySpace. So will be great interaction with the web site.

Playing StarCraft II THROUGH BATTLE.NET 2.0 SERVER WILL BE FREE

Just to clarify for those people who still might be confused about this whole 'Battle.Net will be free' things. After all... It's very complicated.

    • Battle.Net will be free
    • There will be no fee for Battle.Net2.0
    • Blizzard is not going to charge Battle.Net2.0 users
    • No payment will be required for Battle.Net2.0
    • StarCraft2 multiplayer will not cost money to play
    • Multiplayer will be free for StarCraft2
    • StarCraft2 multiplayer, which will be played on Battle.Net2.0, will be free
    • There will be no additional charges for Battle.Net2.0
    • There will be no additional charges for StarCraft2 multiplayer
    • There will be no hidden fees for Battle.Net2.0
    • There will be no hidden fees for StarCraft2 multiplayer
    • StarCraft2 multiplayer will be free
    • There will be no fee for StarCraft2 multiplayer
    • Blizzard is not going to charge people to play StarCraft2 multiplayer
    • Battle.Net2.0 will not cost money to play
    • StarCraft2 multiplayer will not be Pay-2-Play, it will be free
    • The one and only cost for StarCraft2 will be the initial purchase of the game
    • After the initial purchase of StarCraft2, you will not have to pay extra in order to play multiplayer
    • Payment is not required for Battle.Net2.0
    • Dinero es no requerir por Battle.Net2.0
    • L'argent c'est pas voulu pour Battle.Net2.0
    • не надо платить за Battle.net2.0
    • Man musst für Battle.Net2.0 nicht bezahlen

    Hope that helps.

Itza I bet you own zombo.com.

Um... something on topic hm... I'm glad online play will be free ^.^ I mean e-sports use LAN so it's not like Blizzard could get an awful lot from making online play fee-paying. Although there are thousands of times more Koreans playing at home than at e-sports... I can imagine it being very tempting for them.

  8. If Blizzard charged monthly for StarCraft II, I'd be willing to bet there would be private servers up almost instantly. It doesn't take that long for private servers to come up for MMOs so this would be that much easier. Blizzard might as well please the fans and make a better game instead of destroying it since either way StarCraft II will be free.

Damn, I hope they won't not to charge us in any way to play online.

Well even if they do, someone could always create an MP game finder and use the Direct IP method to host and join games. Sort of like the FS2 game finder.
