Blizzard Announces 2008 Expo in Paris

i dont like this update. whats the next update? i want something new to see in sc2 .com.

NOTICE:

After re-reading the press release, I noticed that Diablo 2 is a listed topic of discussion, which could very well mean the announcement of Diablo 3 at this venue as well. Don't forget about the confirmed MMO we've heard about!!!

 

It's like an announcement that their will be something announced at a future announcement date!

EDIT: Thanks JonEagle, good to point out that BLizzard doesn't revolve solely around SC2, hopefully the beta will be ready very soon. THose developers said they are nearing it...it could literally be any day.

 

why cant blizzard jsut be consistent with their updates?! like every monday release a new unit bio in sc2. com, every tuesday and fridays Q and A. and some random updates each week.

i notice that blizzard had stop releasing some new screenshots.. i wonder why. i remember i emailed karune to stop releasing some ugly looking screenshots that dont give justice to the look of the game itself (the last one was with the overlord in a snow tileset) because everyone will end up whining about it. but its not like he actually read my email. lol

i need new screenshots and artworks so that i can work on more sc2 projects.

 

I can't wait to see some new things on starcraft. Seriously, I was hella into stracraft 1 and not so much though in starcraft 2, maybe its because I was hella poor and never had any money. Poor as in my parents never gave me nothing, but yeah I was godly at SC1!... 500-100 well maybe not godly but very primordial. Anyways I wanna say somethign I read on one of these posts. They said that Starcraft 1 there was a lot of MM, (Micro mangement) but that just wasn't the case, zerg was mass send zergs at start, if that didn't work upgrade to hydra's, and yet toss was the same thing build 4-5 zealots to start your defense, than Mass dragoons to use on the enemey even if they are going Carriers on you. But what im really trying to say is that the skill level was just about as good as it gets in the days of SC1, where I would watch a lot of the people just out use there units in rush form. Real beginners stuff, but I never really got that into SC2 like I said. Whew! Thats a lot of crap to read. Thanks for your time. Kaos!

 

I agree. I am crossing my fingers for Zerg, and a beta soon after.

I'm guessing we'll be seeing big SCII news, new WoW crap...erm...things and I wouldnt rule out Diablo 3...unless its a new update for Diablo II. HA. Watch, it will be and I'll be eating my words.

 

i think we'll hear about the zerg earlier. blizzard seems to pay attention to fan feedback (at least sometimes). the possibility that we'll see a beta before any opportunity for fan feedback of the zerg is given seems odd. also, i would think that since sc ii will be a playable demo at the expo, blizzard will want some fans to have seen the third race prior to attempting to play as them.

 

This is definitely exciting...it makes sense to expand Diablo into an MMO from what it was/is...plus it has a huge international fan base...so Paris seems somewhat reasonable in that sense. I think it's also fairly reasonable to assume Zerg will be released then...look at it this way folks....the longer they "delay" the zerg release...the more we'll see at once, as opposed to the current trickle of information we see about the terran and toss. If a huge Zerg fan and I can wait til then! haha

GDC starts on the 18th, less than a week from now. I personally doubt they will reveal anything big there.

 

Yeah I hope they release some Zerg info, and hopefully more info on Battlenet 2.0 before the WWI, and Beta during the WWI

Probably just a review of what they've done so far like what they did for E3. It's rather small, so I'm not expecting much.
