Best RPG

I reckon WoW would outstrip them all because of its amazing graphics, fantabulous gameplay and just wonderful spellwork. owerup:

 

Yeah, definetly. I liked how learning your own name carries the biggest XP boost in the History of RPG.

 

Planescape sure is nice, having the best plot and characters ever found in a rpg, but the senseless lack of gameplay can't cut it for me. Best RPG ever therefore goes to it's sibling, the Baldur's Gate series, which doesn't only have good gameplay, it has the BEST gameplay of ANY game EVER combined with awesome characters, plot, music... everything a good game needs.

I'm still playing that bloody game and still learning new stuff about it... even though neither the vanilla nor the insanely buffed modded fights proves any challenge anymore. ;p

 

Ah yes Baldur's gate, that game is old

In my opinion these are the best RPG's in each category

Plot - Baulder's gate, Final Fantasy series, Chronotrigger

Gameplay- WoW ^_^, Overlord, Diablo

Graphics - Elder scrolls 3 :good:

Though WoW is definately my favourite RPG ;D

Ah yes Baldurs Gate. Who doesn´t remember Minsk and Boo? Thouse two already justified buying that game...

 

What about vagrant story? it has a great storyline and the gameplay is good

The original Diablo is awesome.

 

I loved final fantasy VIII. But the best RPG so far is this one:

the best rpg for me has to be elder scrolls 4 Oblivion

 

I guess it doesnt really matter to him now.

Anyway I loved FFVIII, the characters, the settings, the GFs. It was pretty modern but not futuristic and unbelivable. The first game to mix magic and machine guns in a realistic world.

I also played a lot of diablo II. I was so addicted to the story and the gameplay that I just couldnt stop.

Ah Baldurs Gate, that game was also awesome, sadly I only own the first one. I need to get the second one so I can own all of Biowares games to date. They are probably the best RPG company ever. Better than square by far.

 

For me, it's WoW and Golden Sun, both of them

WoW is fun cause it's one of those open ended MMOs, and it has a lot of lore in it.

Golden Sun is just....Amazing. Awesome (If a little cliched) story, the magic system is cool. The Djinns are awesome, and it has the coolest class system I've ever seen. The graphic are awesome for a GBA game and the music rulez. Lava ROCK FTW

 

To me it cant be anything but TES4: oblivion I have a mage with all seven magic disciplines lvl 100, I'm master of every guild and have 60 out of 60 achievements (yes I have shivering Isles for the other 10)

 

I have to say TES4 Oblivion as well. With the proper modding and a good computer to take advantage of the graphics, oblivion is a beautiful game with an excellent story and environment with plenty of back story to dig into. Also, the right mods make the game much harder and thus much more fun to play.
