Best FPS

Gear of War is a FPS?ain't that third person...
Anyway,I liked all the HL game,1 and 2.Gotta love the game play and the story plotting.

 

Technically its a TPS because you see his back, but in gameplay its really more a FPS than a TPS.

 

half life 1 and counterstrike man, the stuff that created it all. been playing it since i was a wee child.

 

FPS is the view where you don't see any back or even the face of the character unless standing in front of a mirror or cut scene.

Plus most TPS shows back,cause thats TPS.

 

I know that, you clearly misread my message.

To clarify, I sayd that it looks like a TPS, but it plays like a FPS, same with that new Ghost Recon series on the 360. Standard TPS have other mechanics with movement and stuff, while gears of war has the movement mechanics of a FPS.

Alien vs. Predator 2 was the most fun I have ever had online.

I mean, the gameplay was so unique and fun that it blew all the other genric shooters out of the water.

Half Life 2 has the best single play.

And as for the consol shooters...they bore me to death.

 

Call of Duty 2, Quake IV, Return to Castle Wolfenstein[ i love the multiplayer on that game], all 3 halo games, and Doom 3.
Those kept me entertained for ever

Ooops, already posted earlier in the thread. But it stays the same with Doom and Halflife.

 

I think best single player fps is Call of Duty 4, but the best multilayer fps that I've played is probably halo3 but only because I get to play with my friends or else I wouldn't play it at all

 

If you like some really deep immersion in single player, bioshock's the answer. I was immersed in that game from the first plane crash. One of the best stories ever.

 

Halo 3 lacks the one thing I want...a @#$%^ filter.

 

Lol. Anyone here have Crysis? It's an awesome game that totally kicks your computer's @$$.

 

SoldierFront is the most addicting FPS/game I have ever played, even though it's graphics aren't the best, it's still a great game.
