Hell noes! :D The entire volley of lasers is fired at the same target. You can see that in multiple videos.

Only way for a BC to hit multiple targets is to use Plasma Torpedoes.

To sum up this topic, can someone clarify to me this?
    - Immortals shield activates if it recieves 10 damage or more (in single hit) and it always reduces the incoming damage to 10 damage.
    - Immortals shield is only avalible aslong as Immortal has the normal protoss shields on. If you use EMP against it it loses its ability temporiraly?

Seems like fun unit on PvP matches since most of Protoss units hit for more than 10 dmg including cannons :p

    Zealots will eat Immortals alive.

Aha it is an upgrade? That's good to know.
Yes you are right about the zealots, infact alot if you think about it there are more units that quantize their attack into smaller bundles such as the stalker. I just hope that Blizzard will pay attention to these details and evolve the game mechanics around them.
    Thanks for the info.

It would probably drain the shield quicker, but i think that's about it.

Seeing as the Battlecruiser regular attack is not so powerful (it takes a little while to kill a static stalker) the Immortal strong shield does not need to be activated. If the Yamato Cannon is used, yes. If the Plasma Torpedoes are used, yes. The Basic Attack--oh, to heck with it. The Battlecruiser uses strong firepower, so it should be blocked by the strong shield.

Ya a giant ship like that and its main weapon wont even activate an immortals shield? Of course in SC1 i saw a zealot survive a yomatoe shot so who knows...

Considering that the Battlecruiser was different then, we can say that the stronger firepower of the Battlecruiser could easily destroy a Zealot now. Now the ship fires in bursts, which increases the damage dealt. That should probably activate the heavy shield.

According to the SC2 armory the Immortal "Targets: Ground" so I think the battlecruiser will win hands down. Then again the build might have changed again so it can fire at air aswell. \o/

Ya that was all ready mentioned but that's not what this threads about. The maker was suggested that he should change the name but he didn't.

Perhaps a new name for the thread would be in order. "Yamato gun vs Immortal shield." ;[

Yadda, yadda, yadda. The basic idea here is that it will make sense that the shield is activated by the BC, no?
