    aren't the CC/Nexus/Hive still 1500 HP or more? so yeah, 500 damage per nuke... 3 nukes, they'd probably still survive with 3 HP or so due to armor.

    Also have to remember, it cost 0 supply for nukes now, half the cost, and much more readily available than in SC1. 3 nukes should cost very little

    Realistically, the Ghost(s) firing the nukes will easily be able to fire off a regular shot with the rifle to remove those last hp's.

    Agreed gmg. A ghost could do a few shots to it and kill it. But you have to remember it's still hard to get the ghost in there and successfully launch the missile at the cc, hatchery, etc. People use ghosts in late game. Making it harder to nuke things. If there is a small army with some detectors, the ghost is died along with the nuke. Launching 3 nukes in sc2, will be much harder than in the first one. It will be hard to nuke things. Much harder than in sc1. I don't see you getting the ability to have 3 ghosts in there without being detected, and having at least 1 of them killed before your nukes hit. I don't see you being able to nuke like in sc1. Even then it was hard. I don't see the nuke going to be used as much in sc1.

    It would require more ghosts. Getting 2 ghost in there is hard enough. Now 3? You would need back-up ghosts to distract them in order to kill the cc, hatchery, etc. That's at least 5 ghosts. Getting 3 in their base required the dropship at least to get them in. Unless you are able to sneak a ghost in. Unloading 5 ghosts isn't easy. It's harder to get the ghosts passed their defenses. I don't see you being able to nuke any important part of the base.

    You're only thinking about nuking mains. You need to broaden your view. Lesser structures such as Pylons and Supply depots, as well as all base defenses will be destroyed by just one nuke. Since nukes are easier to tech to, easier to buy, and easier to use (if the enemy still doesn't get a 'nuclear missile detected' message), I think they will be used more than in SC.

    you can always play the mind game and nuke nothing while your enemy gets paranoid and is looking everywhere :D

    That's true too, Dragon God. To get a nuke off, you can play the mind game of having more than 1 ghost. When they hear that a nuke is launched, they will start looking for the dot. Once they kill off 1 ghost, and you make sure it's in plain view with no other ghost near-by. Then they get hit going what the heck. Then you come in with your bcs and wipe them out. But it will still be hard seeing how they search their entire base and every one of their bases for it. Plus most base defenses have some kind of detector with them. Getting a drop ship in or even getting a ghost into their base is almost impossible. You would have to distract or nuke the defenses. The other player would kill your ghost if you tried to nuke his defenses. You can't get a drop ship in because they will have anti-air defenses. So you don't even get a mile of their base. I don't see you being able to get in. Not to mention the Protoss Mothership. It just has to time bomb the area, and no nuke. I don't see you able to nuke very easily. You can nuke a fresh new expansion with no protection. But that will most likely have an army with a detector with them protecting the new fresh expansion.

    @asdf you accidently said a hive instead of a hatchery. plus if you didnt realize when the Zerg tech they tech to the hive and the lair witch each gets more health at each stage. so a hive has 2500 HP probly the most health of anything in the game. (kind of an odd traite. Zerg get weak guys and buildings but have the most HP structure in the game.) oh theres a youtube vid out there and a guy speed nukes and he didnt kill anything (unless i missed some random units run by and get blasted)

    Man I like the way the diffrent kind of battlecruisers are looking. I really like that they each have thier individual design! :)

    I just have one remark, besides the defence matrix upgrade making the BC kinda overpower if you compare it to.. say the protoss carriers. I kinda dislike the animation for the defence matrix, it looks crap to be honest...

    What do you think?

    It just looks too green and "plastic"
