Did I read this right? Do you really think the Tanks role was to absorb damage? I hope not.

He says Tank as in a MMO Tank, whose role is to absorb damage, not the "Siege Tank"

No. "Was" is the correct usage. The Seige Tank in StarCraft 2 is completely different in the lore. Read the background of the new tank. It clearly says that it replaces the old Seige Tank.

Either way, since we're talking about something that exists in both the present and the past, "was" is still correct. Protip: Don't argue with a native speaker about correct usage. I wouldn't dream of arguing with you about your native language.

Lastly, stop getting rude and defensive.

I am not arguing for the syntax, you native..

    Is= NOW(Current role).
    Was=(Old role)
What I meant is that I am talking about it's current role... OK?

Thor's new role is to absorb as much damage as it can.. And I am saying that Idon't like it..
    verstanden sie? santa
And yes this is a "tanks" role.. Not the "siege tank's" role.
If you only watched any news you would have known that this is a tank's role ingame..

For example, lately the roach has gained a "tank" role for the zerg swarm..
You can search any late news that are confirming my words here...

If you think I am rude, stop provoking and just learn.
    And I'll stop be.

From what I can read of that garbled mess, I can only ascertain two things: you assumed many things that are blatantly wrong and it's incredibly off-topic. Therefore, this is a huge waste of time.

Do you honestly think I don't read or watch the news articles/videos I post? How would I not know of these things when I'm almost certainly the one that posted this information here. Did you even bother to think?

As for being rude, you were unduly rude to me months ago. I'm not provoking you. My patience has just been a bit warn down by your insults these last few months. Hell, look at your personal insults to me already. And you say I'm provoking you :D

Lastly, you're getting confused about what this "argument" was about. You accused me of using "was" in terms of the Seige Tank in the wrong context. Therefore, the Thor has nothing to do with it. I haven't even said anything about the Thor. Additionally, the Roach has always been some what of a Tank in that it's HP regenerates rather quickly.

Finally, I see a flame war a brewing. If you remove your posts, I'll be happy to remove mine. This is a discussion forum after all and this has no place here.

Wow can we stop spamming the florum with flamming?

Any ideas as to how to better counter high templars? It destroyed the terrans mid-game.

Just right-click on them with a couple units. :D Like Hellions, sieged Siege Tanks or Banshees.

Yes, probably as Freedom23 said : Snipe ( please freedom23 answer with a sentence, not just with one word. No offence from me, just an advice from the forum rules ;) )

A chance those HT don't have an automatic attack, but just powers. But how devastative ! Sniping them requires that you train a Ghost, that you search the snipe ability .... and that will take some time. The HT will already be on the map before you search for the Snipe (there is a snipe function research right ?)
I would probably create 2 or 3 Crucio tanks in Siege mode to kill the HT with one hit. But if they are 2 or 3 ... ouch ! on my face.

And for the Banshees ? THE BEST solution ! cloaking. If there is an observer in their camp, ouch ! on my face again !

I can barely read this but I can clearly tell how asinine it is. Ugh .....

I wasn't provoking you, "you native". But, even if I was, it's child's play compared to the insults you've given me in other topics. Also, I wasn't wrong. I was right and I have proven so. What, are you so insufficient with the language that you can't follow it? You keep throwing around "I won!" like just you saying it makes it true.

Please forumers, just be concentrated to the forum !! If you have things to launch to yourselves just PM yourselves. DeckardLee I notice I was not the only one to get some quarelings with you, Ronin too. Next time I prefer to get reproach in PM, not in public. It's not the problem of the others. I don't want to disgust the moderators and the administrators with our problems.

So, now, ladies and gentlemen, I resume with battle report 4 !

I notices something strange with the High Yield Minerals (now calles High Rich Minerals, if I watched well). They are 'just' at 1,500 minerals. Of course the peons can get 16 of them each time but would it be better to give them 3,000 of value ? r will the players immediately run to them ?

Edit : We have enough discussed about the fact the Thor is very different from the original Terran gameplay footage. It is less unique now. What about the Protoss Mothership (I know it is not in BR4). So different now. Of course the Black Hole is cut to give the place to a sort of Black Hole which just interrupts the activity of the targetted enemies. They disappear and come back after a while.
What I liked with the Mothership was its entrance to the gameplay. I liked its animation when it appeared from nowhere whith all those blue lights forming a huge rectangle (rectangles) around it. Now ... it just appears with a little animation uppon the Nexus.
Same feeling for the thor. There is no more animation where it was built out in the battlefield.

Blizzard warned us before that all we will see is not definitive. I notice they cut a lot of charming and unique details, to give place to the balance. Too bad. Hope it will be different in the solo campaign. All those animations will come back.

Also I loved too the cool animation "making the entrance" for the mothership..

Yes Ronin2011, the first animation of the Black Hole shew a vortex absorbing some units (they were battlecruisers) and they disappeared .... for ever.

It has been explained before that this powerful ability gave a disadvantage to the enemy because if they mass some air units in one point so the BH would make them disappear in one instant.

Now the BH has another power. The targeted units disappear, a blue vortx replaces them. And after some seconds (I think 10 sec) they come back, ready to attack. Now the BH is like a Dark Archon's Maelstrom, or an Arbiter's stasis cells. Units touched by the BH are probably sent "somewhere else" and come back to the battlefield after some seconds.

well, I loved the first Black hole.. I don't think that vortex has a place in the mothership at all..
I mean c'mon we are talking for a unique and storytelling unit... give it something a little OP..

Good point. This unit is indeed a unique and storytelling so it should be OP. But Blizzard seems to decide to give it a normal aspect not to disadvantage the other races.

Remember the MS was a unique, one per game, very expensive and very powerful. Now with all we can see it is like a normal huge vessel. Proof ? We can build more than ONE MS. And it is reduced to a cloaking structure unit (which is a good option however). Of course it has some abilities like the BH, not like the original one, and the Time Bomb. About the Planet Craker ? No se !
