Exactly. Blizzard always tries to work in new units and abilities as you learn how to use them. A perfect example was with Infested Kerrigan learning her new powers. I hope they develop it more fully, however, and provide scenarios that could be accomplished by a mediocre player using mass-tactics, but would be much easier if the player used a subtle strategy to maximize his/her unit effectiveness.

oh I really hope they don't put in levels that can be beaten using mass tactics unless they have different difficulty levels and that would be the lowest one.

Is anybody else curious as to what these new battle.net improvements will be in Starcraft 2? We have already had Automatching and tournament features in the WC3 game, and im just wondering as to what these Improvements will be, and to be honest, i have no clue as to what can be improved as it seems pretty good to me.

Perhaps they might include new WCG or ESWC qualifiying systems via battle.net, ie you can enter the qualifying stages with the click of a button ( just like the tournament structure in WC3 ) and top qualifiers get pre-paid packages to these events, all in an effort to improve and support the professional gaming arena ( e-sports ) ? Seems realistic or far fetched?

Another battle.net feature could be a Professional ladder, where the game speed is Fastest, like in BW, and the top 20 or whatever get to travel to LAN location and battle it out for cash prizes? Also similar to WC3..

Will they have 2 separate ladders depending on the speed preferences?

    Your views..

One really cool feature would be to allow the players to spectate the pro and official touranment matches. Maybe it will lag, but it dont really think so. Something surely must be possible to avoid that.

Well with Guildwars there is an observer mode that lets you see tournament matches and what not.

The matches are posted on the list 15 minutes after they finish and stay up for an hour or so i cant remember for sure.

But it would be awesome if blizzard could add something similar to battle.net.

I hope this new B.Net totally destroys the Warcraft 3 one.

I would bet that the SC2 battle.net would be a lot like WC3 but upgraded... Take the WC3 B.net, multiply it by 10, and that'll be SC2.

Hopefully they will make the matching system a lot better than it is for wc3. It needs a lot of improvement, to say the least. Other than that I don't really know what they might do for b.net. But I do know it will be mind-blowingly awesome.

I wish that battle.net will just have a world-wide server not individual continent servers....i think wc3 already has that

No WC3 was 4 servers. Blizzard hasn't had a game yet with one giant server.

Ah, I see that my thread has evolved over the months. I am surprised at how many good ideas have popped up here. Anyway back on subject, I believe Blizzard could make a server for US East, US West, Europe, and Asia. You would choose one which would show where you reside. Your choices of where you want to play would be US East, US West, Europe, Asia, and maybe "Worldwide", where you can challenge anybody from any region of the world.

    Example:

DanHillman693@USAEast would be my username, describing where I am.
I could use this username on any server, on the European server, US West server, Asia server, and the Worldwide server, without the end of my username changing.
