haha it'll take you 2 weeks to beat it?
It'll take me like 2 days without cheats. And I won't even play that much.

Considering there are 30 missions that take between 15mins to 45mins, it'd take me minimum a week, except if I play 5hours a day which I won't do.

Right this is a blizzard game so there would be a lot of missions. 4 days for me then.

assuming each campaign is approximately the same length. they might be twice or three times as long though.
wow 2 weeks? thats like a mission a day.

It'd be around 2 missions a day, I never did SC1 missions (boooooooooring) but I did WC3 missions which were waaay more fun and they take (if I remember correctly) between 15 and 30mins each. But that's because most Warcraft quests start with already an army and heroes while most starcraft quests start with barely any army (in most quests).

Don't blame me for wanting to know what happens at the end of SC2 <.< I love SC lore and I know I wouldn't be able to wait a few weeks to know what happens.

you love sc lore but you wont play the original missions that give it to you? that really seems contradictory.

I do, they just take me 5mins instead of 45. SC1 campaign is one of the most boring out of other RTS I've played, the story is good, the objectives also, but the maps make you feel like you're playing a custom game. I think they should do like some of the maps in WC3 where you can get optional quests by talking to civilians and random people. Those were fun quests.

there arnt random civilians in starcraft. if there were terrans just standing around, they would probably just get eaten. and with protoss, its not like theres gonna be an artisan in the middle of a battlefield. and for zerg, what are you gonna do, talk to the zergling thats sitting around that should be under your control anyways?

I wanted to say that too but I don't doubt we will see some cities/towns around. Now the Zergs are another story, but heh, anything that can make the map more enjoyable will be appreciated, but judging by the screenshots, the maps already look waaay more fun. I'd prefer defending a bridge full of zerglings over blocking a ramp with marines/tanks/etc. anyday.

starcraft missions boring? warcraft 3 missions fun? hahahaha. warcraft 3 missions were so typical. most of them were taken from starcraft mission layouts.

hahaha supreme commander campaign. I lost every single mission after the one where you had to protect some small car and right before it gets to the warp gate it's attacked by a massive air fleet after you destroy everything on the map. And they just let me continue to the next mission.

I'm a die hard single player and a bit of a bit of a plot-freak - even if games have the best graphics and gameplay, i just can't stand playing it if it's plot sucks a bunch of retarded cups of monkey-fodder.

Well, beyond finding out how the story progresses and how anticipated the ending is, I think single player will give extremely useful hints and fundamentals which will give you a basic understanding before fighting real people. That, and it will be so darn fun to be playing with new units in a non-hostile atmosphere :)

Oooohhhhh....this thread is making it really hard for me to chose which one im gonna do first....Single Player = learning the story, seeing how all the heroes are doing, and some fun scenarios. B.net = one time where I'm on the same level as everyone else where no one knows what the hell to do, no hacks.....such a tough decision

thing i love about the campaign is they only give you a few units to start with then you get more as the levels progress so you can effectivly learn to use each.
