I noticed that too, the Na'vi had 4 fingers/toes(or 3 fingers + thumb if you prefer it that way), while the Avatars had 5 due to the part human DNA used to make them.

Did anyone else notice that when Jake's Avatar is first captured and brought to the tribe, a knife is held up to the hair/nerves that come from the back of his head instead of being held next to the throat? I've been somewhat curious about that, but I assume that if it was cut off, it would either kill them or condemn them to the lowest part of society forever since they wouldn't be able to bond with anything without it.

I don't understand why people like this movie. Like what asdf posted, it is a very old story. Is it exactly like Pocahontas? No, but its the same generic cookie cutter theme...but in space!

I would forgive that if the characters weren't all stock and spewed some of the most trite dialog I've ever heard.

Sure it looked good (not the utterly ground breaking cgi promised) but would you buy a game just because it had good graphics?

Sure it's an old story, but it's a good story; and space makes it more epic.

Not really sure about the dialogue, I didn't find any issue with it save maybe the part about Jack being compared to a baby. Hell, I liked when some of the dialogue was predictable, made it seem more realistic("Toruk means last shadow" "Yeah, it's the last shadow you'll ever see").

Considering how E-3 seems, I'd say graphics are a large part to how well games sell now-a-days. I saw Avatar in 3-D 3 times, and I was amazed each time I saw it. I've taken my family to see it as well, and they all enjoyed the scenery and story.

People like this movie because it keeps them interested all throughout! I have spoken to my family members who constantly doze off in action movies and they said something along the lines of "I was tired but I could not keep my eyes off the screen" There is just something in this movie that engages people on a personal level. I for one thought it was bad ***...

Did any one else see 3-D alien nipples?!

I tried, but to no avail. I was too busy watching what was going on throughout the movie most of the time to really be trying to look.

But you know they have to have planned to dress her like that to try and get even more of the male demographic to watch it :D
