If you dont want a pet anymore, you can try to sell it to gain minerals back and buy something else.

 

It's were members buy and sell the items they have bought from the shop. It makes prices soar for items that are sold out, but highly sought after. Like the tomatoes and Jim dolls before.

 

I always remember the dolls and statues, cost about 2-5k but would be resold for 30k+ since there were only 3 of each for the dolls and 7 each of the statues.

 

Bnechbreaker or whatever his name was. He did that a lot, that's how he got so rich, because of doing stuff like that. That's why I want some rules put down, so no one can exploit others to such an extent.

I don't expect regular pets to be traded so much, cause the people who buy them, are the ones who want them. Only collectibles, which are extremely limited will go through such a thing. Except maybe Carriers and Motherships of course.

 

I want to get a Kerri doll, zerg logo, and queen.

Wonder if I'll actually be able to get all those before 1 of them gets sold out. Maybe if I go back to my 40-posts-per-day binge like when I first joined, I might be able to get them.

Not holding my breath though, I know there are others who have alot more minerals than I do, gotta play catchup now.

 

I was in first place, then Kurai got a little ahead of me, then kerwyn was doing some testing that required mass mins. So that put me in third place. I just bought a zealot, putting me in 10th place. I'll catch up.

You might be able to get the logo. Kerri-dolls are expensive, and rare.

 

Not sure if I want to get the doll or the logo first. I'll likely get the logo since it is cheaper and thus would be sold faster.

I could get a zergling, but there are alot of them so I'm not worried about them being sold out so quickly.

 

What's wrong with selling super-rare dolls/statues for loads of minerals?

Different thing is buying out whole stock of cheaper pets and reselling them for insane prices (you know who you are >.>)

 

Again Bnechbreaker did that. That pissed a lot of members off when he did that.

And it is exploiting poorer members to get yourself filthy rich. It increases inflation.

 

I won't be allowing hoarding of the medium stocked items. Users will have some sort of imposed limit on ownership.

Probably no more than 40% ownership of items that have a stock of larger than 15.

 

So I can only have 9 DT's? C'mon man, that's lame. No I'm kidding, that's a good idea actually. I only want two or three anyway.

What abut restricted ownership of extremely rare items? Like the Carrier at 10 units, or the Mothership at 5 (I think).

Medium stocked? As in all first editions with over 15 units?

 

If members try and make the rarity and cost of some items a problem Ill try and take care of it, but remember the more there is of an item the less value it has. There has to be some level of rarity or else whats the point of collectables? As for the pets, the first editions ARE collectibles that is why there is an unimited number of the normal versions.

 

So this means we can't buy up all the carriers and make a giant fleet?
I persionally think the number of the more expensive pets are too small.


Theres only 5 motherships, is it supposed to be a pet or a collectors item? That's 5 users, less if somone buys more than one.
Collectors items should be that exclisive, but I think pets, even first editions, shouldn't be.
I vote we double the amount of first editions (10 mothersips, 20 carriers, 30 battlecruisers etc.) Then we can have at least 10 people having the really expensive stuff, seems better to me since we have more than a few active members, last time there were only a handful of the really expensive pets and people pretty much got locked out from buying them.

 

All first editions should be collector's items hence why they are first edition and we have normal editions.

 

Well I understand that but I think even the raret first edition should be less exclusive than the true collectors items.

Really though I'd rather we didn't have the whole first and second edition crap. it's a hold over from the original shop, I'd rather we just had pets and collectors items, but what's done is done. I'd be happy if wwe had 8 motherships, 5 just seems a bit too exclusive even for a first edition.

 

No, I think the number of units is fine. It makes them all the more valuable.

You just want to be able to get the massive amount of zealots that you once had. I already got one of your zealots.

And Kerwyn, why are you buying second edition stuff? It's not like you don't have the cash.

 

I never had massive ammount of Zealots.
I had 6 I believe.

Most of my money went into aquiring all of the probes, and the couple of carrirs I managed to get before they were sold out.

Anyways, I think the high first edition pets should have thier number raised by 2-3. 5 feels too exclusive, though it fits well with the dolls since they were 3 originally.
