How are medals given out? Manually or automatically, based on stats?

Certain medals such as the activity medal is automatically given to the one that is most online, but I guess that the one you have was given out manually, since you made the smileys and such.

 

I don't think activity medal is only for being online

 

activity is calculated by the online duration and posts average per day

 

Ursa he chat problem is a usegroup problem created by the creation of the new clan usergroups. If you want to temporarily fix the problem simply leave whatever clan group you are in. The problem should hopefully be fixed as soon as Jon can find the right file or the admin notices it.

 

Yeah I thought activity and LT's medal are automatic but you can't really measure helpfulness and 'socially engagedness' with stats. But I don't think I got it for the smileys since they weren't a lot of work, especially compared to my previous contributions. Besides, that was a long time ago and I only got it yesterday.

How does postcount work now? When I check all my posts it says I have 500, the oldest having a tag of April 2008. I know threads and posts disappeared with the move but why doesn't my sadness rating reflect that?

 

not sure if this belongs here, but here goes: who made the flash heading, with the cycling of images and the starcraft2forum.org banner? what did they make it with? thanks in advance!

 

The site admin.... I believe it's a combination of flash and java.

 

Jon, would it be possible to disable the compression of pictures uploaded into albums? I came up with the idea of making one picture at most 600x600 and 100kb, and if you upload anything bigger than that, it counts as several pictures. There might not be reason to apply that to resolution (to avoid destroying the layout) but say if size > 100kb then it counts as 2 pictures, if size > 200kb then 3 pictures, etc. This way we could upload bigger images without occupying more space in the server due to the cap on the maximum number of pictures allowed in one album.

 

maybe the albums should have a total size limit instead of a number of pictures limit

Well he better be 'cause I owe people and people owe me. Not to mention it makes private trade impossible. There's just too many things against it, and I see absolutely no reason for it.
