Alternate weapons for Reapers.

I say the reapers should get a big ol' rusty chainsaw or something along the lines. I like the melee idea because terran doesn't really have one besides the firebat, and the reapers would still keep their c-4 explosive thingys but with a chainsaw thrown in!

 

nothing screams low tech like a chainsaw

 

I think that the chainsaw for reapers would be too much like Space Marine Assault Squad from Warhammer 40k. I know there's also other things from Warhammer, like Drop Pods, but I don't think there should be more.

hmm, i dont know i really like a flamethrower. Make him like boba fet! but seriosuly, imagine a bunch of reapers jump in a zergling pit and burn them to crisp!

but no,it's too firebat-ish.i think they are fine with just their twin pistols and explosive mines...but an extra weapon really wouldn't hurt

 

I never liked the pistols. Could we at least call them something else? Like Uzies? I mean, what army spends all the money on that massive suit of armor and jetpacks and whatnot and then hands them a couple handguns? I say give them a shotgun at least.

 

The guns they wield are as big as their friggin torsos. You might as well call them cannons.

 

I heard that they had a gun called the D-8 Destablizer that shoots depleted uranium, but I would stik to shot guns

Dual pistols are fine to be honest...

 

Something with better range? I forget the name, but there is a new gun out that is almost the size of an uzi, but is as strong enough to pierce body armor. A much better version of this gun could be produced to pierce the Zerg carapace and stuff.

 

why not something new and sci fi like. it doesn't have to be pistols, flamethrowers, uzi, gatling guns...but something that we DONT see today. xp

anyone here saw the reaper artwork (where there was 3 of them flying and shooting etc..).. OMG! they look weak and UNfuturistic with their pistols and bullets flying. 2400 years in the future? i think the reapers weapon is too mediocre lorewise except for the D8 charges.

i say give the an electric attack or something that REAPS through enemies. 8)

 

They arn't plain guns zeratul. They are Gauss Pistols.

 

it isnt 2400 hundred years in the future, it is just 300, and there was a large period of time without scientific advancement when The UPL took over, and the terrans had to recreate every piece of technology and their main research went into spaceships, and they only had 150 years, it took them 50 years to get to our lvl 50 years ago, but only becuase they had ATLA, so i guess you could say that the terrans are only 100 years ahead of us

How about some kind of taser gun. It shoots taser darts at long range, doing damage over time after the target's been shot.

I hope the reaper gets better range.
