A terran Bar?

I remember there was a "cantina" in starcraft alpha.

 

no one here is complaining about the bar? i dont like it, seriously, i hope its just a random jokes they want us to see. i hope its not included in the final game.

the ground turret dont look good too. looks like a zerg unit to me.

lol I woner if that is the replacement for the academy or something new?

 

The Terran Bar could be a place that you could load Biological units in and they would heal faster than if they were healed by a Medic. The mechanics could be say that it heals biological at the rate of a Medic, but it would never run out of energy and could mass heal. Just a thought. It might also have a few Upgrades purchasable; Marines leaving could get a buff after one upgrade, they could have extended Hp, ect. Just a thought. ;D

Building Tier :3 Use: Heals Units at rate of Medic.
Cost : 250 Minerals/Gas
Max Occupancy : 12

 

It has that strange yellow glow in its doorway which usually means it's building something. I'm not sure what would be built here though, so maybe the glow is just for show, or to be inviting to those entering the bar, or researching an upgrade. This a strange building to add to the Terran... sounds like drunk Pandaren hogwash to me.

 

The thing about the Yellow glow is that if it does indicate building in SC2 then wth are all the supply depots building? The only thing I can see is them spending minerals to go underground? Which, would make that mechanic of Underground Depots suck. So, maybe thats what it is, but still the Bar is just so out of place for a war zone.

 

Yeah, they put all the convict on some shuttles, cryo-sleep and all that. But the guidance messed up or something and they all ended up in the Korpulo sector. Then they make their own stuff, like the Confederacy and Terran Dominion.

 

^^^ Yeah the Koprulu Sector is kinda like Australia in space ^_^

And yes the marines are (at least half of them) criminals who have been re-socialized and forced to fight.

I really hope they keep it in the game cause it's just too funny.

So the building in the upper right hand corner of the screenshot is a neutral observatory controlled by the terrans to get rid of the fog of war around the area. It seems like a "sensor dome" for all 3 races.

 

That's cool. I wante d to see more neutral involvement in this game. goblins were so cool in WC3.

 

nah i dont want them in the game. it will ruin the seriousness of the game. terran bar? you got to be kiddin me.

anyway maybe you can buy beer and take them out so that the marine will get rabid and berserk firing ability after drinking.

Im positive it is the new terran academy.

 

i dont see any resemblance between an academy and a bar.

still im praying that this structure is just a joke and not be included in the final game.

 

hasnt it been labelled as an observatory?
mayb when it is captured the animation will change so that you know that it is taken.

yes the terran bar as a doodad is fine but definitely not a terran building structure in game. come on, starcraft is not a joke.

I wonder: Does the look of the observatory change depending on who controls it? And if so what does it look like when not under someones control?

 

i bet when in protoss control it is actually used as an observatory
