But I think that generalizing ICCUP players as pros is also a bit wrong. Or am I misreading your post? I certainly hope so, because it would be a whole new level of creating false stereotypes. Which is something I try to avoid as much as possible, especially on the internet.

 

I didn't say all gamers on ICCUP are pros. I'm saying that the pro-gamers you often here about are actually just really good ICCUP players; not paid professionals. But, make no mistake, getting a high rank on ICCUP is definitely something admirable.

This has really gotten out of hand for something so simple.

 

You are probably right. Back to quiet servers... with 60.000 people on them.

I dont use the wiki-version, mine is actually the disctionary-style, but perhaps thats just because my dictionary is outdated . I found no articles on wikipedia on it (but i tried! )

furrer and I used the word the exact same way. The only difference is that I took a few sentences to explain that the "pros" you could've been hearing about are actually just really good ICCUPers.

Just thought I'd clarify that one more time before I completely washed my hands of the matter.

Back on-topic: garfieldodie you need to get yourself a beta key and play StarCraft how it was meant to be played. You're only cheating yourself since StarCraft is so damn dirt cheap.
