Ummm... doesn't the bank have interest rates? Just think, I actualyl did the math and I have a bit over 2000 minerals. Now... I forgot the formula to find it out but I think it was: (1+ 0.1)^400 x 2000
I think... 1+ 0.1 is for compounded interest. ^400 represents time (to the 400th power) 400 represents days. So a year and a fourth. 2000 is for what is in my bank. So do that math, or just use a calculator

Edit: Okay that was not right... That wasn't the right formula... Anyways, how many copies of Starcraft II will the site be able to give out?

 

200000.00 Minerals is really hard to get very hard..

 

Mind you the interest is 0.1% --> 0.001 --> 1 + 0.001 = 1.001

Formula is A = P(1+(r/100))^t

A= amount
P = principal
r = rate (percent)
t = time (days)

It's suppose to be 2000(1.001)^400 = 2,983.05 minerals

That's the figure for no postings and interest accumulated for 400 days.

It is possible to get to 200,000 if you keep posting and whilst constructive too so you can earn interest items that will boost your interest and thus more minerals per day! ^_^

So let's say you received two worker probes. Your total interest rate is 1.1% (0.1% initial + 2 X 0.5% for probes). So if you don't post let's say then:

A = 2,000 (1.011)^400 = 159,034.82 minerals <---- Lots of minerals!

haha i did the worse in trig class... a freakin A- gah! That's because it was a class called Functions, Statistics and Trigonometry, which is the hardest high school math class ever (thanks to the Univ. of Chicago) ^_^

First, I think 200k is attainable. Just gotta be smart and don't buy all the random crap on here. If you REALLY want that item, you can pull it off using interest. But you can't make random posts. (Why am I even posting in here???)

Plus, even if you don't attain it by the time the game comes out, you can still order that second copy for a backup CD key and/or collectible status.

So yea, even if you do get up that high if there's someone else who decided to beat you to it *cough*Paragon*cough* then u'r still in the pooper as I was typing this. By the way... I came up with "in the pooper." If y'all like it let's see if we can make it spread it like wildfire

Anyway, I'm saving all my minerals on funzy stuff like color names 'n avatar frames, LOL. It's just more fun that way.
