    so I just had a thought:

    The Milky Way Galaxy is roughly 100,000 light years in diameter. Assuming that's the average size of a galaxy, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is around the same height. Lordgenome eats a Big Bang, and feeds it back to Tengen Toppa, making it grow roughly 100 times bigger, before producing a Giga Drill that's at least 50 times bigger than that. that's a 500-million light year-long Giga Drill, which Granzeboma makes an exact duplicate of. These two drills clash with enough force to make the universe between dimensions collapse in on itself.

    Unless the drills were perfectly aligned to the atomic level, the rotation of them would have knocked off their point-to-point balance and they would have glanced off each other...
