Yeah so playing ZZ last night in 2's, We're winning almost every game, until we go up against Protoss Protoss. I knew it would be tricky when we started, so we decided I would go with an early roach build and he would get a good amount of speedlings and tech to mutas. We massed up and went in to harass, ended up killing a good amount of zealots and a few buildings before stalker microing and lameness killed our harrass force. SO we started teching hydras mutas, along with a good amount of speedlings and roaches. Basically they went stalkers and zealots. And that's it. A lot of stalkers and zealots.. and we got stomped. It's pretty redic how fast 2 P can mass up a stupid big amount of stalkers. We ended up losing so we played again, ANOTHER ZZ vs PP game. We switched up the strat and tried to 9pool cheese together, it failed so we teched right away, still failed. Basically we played about 4 ZZ vs PP games in a row and tried new things every time and still ended up losing. Keep in mind we were early harassing every game, and always had expansions, and I am pretty sure our opponents never had more expansions than we did. Anyone know anything solid or even some tips on how to counter PP? More specifically how to counter 2 P who mass stalks? Anyways thanks for advice and tips, and sorry for wall of txt!
Your economy might have been to weak. Some zerg players have problems with getting enough drones, and then it doesn´t matter if you keep your money low, you just dont have enough. Going Roach/hydra instead of Ling/hydra might be better. Replays please.
Unless the Protoss go Void Rays I really don't build many Hydras since Zealots tear them up so bad. Same with un-upgraded lings. Roaches and Mutalisks are a pretty good counter. Always harass with the Mutas until he cannons up or has to pull his Stalkers from the front lines. If he goes too crazy with Stalkers start pumping out the speedlings. Assuming equal microing skills Stalkers don't really beat roaches. If he starts kiting them just borrow and heal.
