Are hydras the best choice if your oponent is massing vikings? Because I've got a vikingloving friend wich I want to shut up mohaha
Try to name your thread something other than "ZvT." And Hydras would work but Mutalisks/Corruptors would also be cost effective.
Well, I think it depends on what else he builds. If he is building ONLY or MOSTLY vikings then hydra will own him hard.
FYI zerg is very limitted of options when it comes to fighting air units. They only got Hydra, Muta, Corruptor. Other than that, you cant expect to use your queen as a spammable unit to en-mass against flying units. And the loss of the scourge also reduces zergs anti air and lastly, There are hardly any terran players that would opt for massing vikings against zerg since banshee would be the much better poison to pick.
Mass muta and Corrupters. sometimes using Infestors will help with neural parasite I believe. I think it really depends on how your micromanagement tactics work. I find Hyrdralisks to be easier.
Infestors and Hydras will work nicely. Fungal Growth, run away for a bit, come back and kill. Oh how I miss defilers and plague
