Just wondering what peoples opinions (zerg, diamond plus preferably) in dealing with motherships late game ZvP.

Usually I can harrass enough so that even with their mothership their army isnt huge, but if they manage to get up a couple voids, couple arcons along with their regular stalkers ect. I just find that the corrupters really cant get in to do enough (before the vortex i mean) ... arcon toilets absolutely shred everything I can throw at them... or they focus down the corrupters before I can kill the mothership lol. I know the units needed to counter the toss's deathball army but it seems that even countering correctly its still a VERY fine line.

If you can pick off the mothership its generally fine, and by the time they actually have the mothership im usually on 3-4 bases so re-macro'ing up an army isnt over the top hard. Just finding the whole anti-air thing kind of difficult and am wondering what the other zergs out there have taken to doing (micro wise with their corrupters as muta's at this point are just about as useful as lings vs' the mothership) ^_^

I had a diamond P go MS+gateway against me and I think what won me the game was burrow, as odd as it may sound :D they had no robo, obviously, so my surprise attacks dwindled down their army piecemeal. I went for hydras so I don't know aboutcorruptors against this combo. Burrowed hydras work very well against slightly out of position MS, which can happen with the best of players as well due to the big difference in move speed.

so far my experience with MS i have had no much problem with some corruptors and their hability to increase damage.. MS died quickly, what goes with it is a problem anyway (mass VR and stalkers) that need extra support.

Anyway, my prefered strategy is to use an infestor, shielded with some roaches, then mind control MS and really quickly use black hole on its own army (have memorized hotkey), so mine can finish motehrship (force attack friendly unit) and half army, and then his other half come and I finish them ... done at least 3-4 time now.

    That, sir, is genious.
I really should make more use of infestors.

IMO Motherships aren't that good, except when you combine them with some carriers. Otherwise it's not worth the money and time.

If this is SC1 I would say build a bunch of scorges :D but it's not and that's what I hate about Zerg in SC2. They have little anti Air ability ya there is Corruptors but that's about it. Anyway you can always try fungal Growth with infestor they review invis so then have a mass hydra Corruptor to take out his army. That's what I would do. And btw I'm not a Daimond league player

Funny thing is I just watched an archon toilet on husky's channel. The zerg player made such a big mistake by sending his units in because he was unaware of the archon toilet.

When this late in the game you really need to focus on positioning your units well. Spread them all apart and stay the heck away from the vortex.

Having the right unit combo is important. If you see high templars and archons then you should stay away from hydralisks. Stick with roaches as long as they do not have a lot of air or immortals. If they mostly have colossi or air then obviously you will need a ton of corruptors.

Get as much of a surround on them as you can. If they have a mothership they will most likely have their whole army with it. Just spread your units around and take out their expos. Massing up mutalisks is great because then you can easily get around the map to destroy his economy.
